APPRECIATION FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND PRESENCE

I sincerely appreciate everyone who honoured my family with their presence, prayers and goodwill as we commemorated the 40th anniversary of the passing of my beloved mother.

I am particularly grateful to the candidates of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), including our Governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, Odidiomo, Amb. Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, as well as our House of Assembly candidates, party stalwarts and members of the League of Alfas.

My heartfelt appreciation also goes to the Management Team of OYOSUBEB, colleagues, friends, associates and everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to stand with my family on this significant occasion.

Your presence, prayers and kind words meant a great deal to me and my family. Forty years after her transition, the love and memories of my mother remain deeply cherished.

May Almighty God continue to bless you all, honour your loved ones and grant us many more years in good health and peace.

Thank you all for standing with us.

During my monitoring exercise across schools in the city today, I had a heartwarming encounter with a group of pupils whose classroom was proudly tagged “Professors’ Class.”

The name caught my attention and brought a smile to my face. Sharing a personal moment with the young learners, I told them that, at their age, I also dreamed of becoming a 'Dr.'- a dream that eventually became a reality.

I encouraged the pupils to believe in themselves, dream boldly and remain committed to their studies. Thereafter, I prayed for them and wished them success, reminding them that the dreams they nurture today can become the realities of tomorrow.

As schools resume today, may we never receive an emergency call concerning your children. May they be protected from every form of harm, guided throughout the school term, and return home safely every day. No evil shall befall them.

As we begin a new school term, the Oyo State Government has strengthened measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our pupils, while creating an enabling environment for effective teaching and learning across our schools.

I urge our teachers to remain committed to their noble responsibilities and continue to give their best towards the progress and development of the basic education sector in Oyo State. Your dedication remains central to building a brighter future for our children.

To our pupils, teachers, parents and all stakeholders in basic education, I wish you a safe, productive and successful new term.

Welcome back to school!

Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran
Executive Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB).
