Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently sitting on a keg of gunpowder. A house divided against itself can never stand, and if urgent steps are not taken, the dream of reclaiming power in 2027 may face serious setbacks.
At this critical moment, all hands must be on deck for Oyo APC to rise again, rebuild trust among stakeholders, and reposition the party for victory in all elections come 2027. Personal interests, political camps, and internal rivalries must be set aside for the greater interest of the party and the future of our dear state.
The quick intervention of our leader and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is highly needed at this point. Mr. President should urgently call all gladiators, leaders, and stakeholders to a roundtable discussion and remind everyone that we are one big political family. There must be understanding, sacrifice, reconciliation, and fair political balancing that will strengthen unity within the party.
Our members are becoming vulnerable and unnecessarily exposed to danger all in the name of direct primaries and internal struggles. Politics should not become a battlefield where loyal party members suffer intimidation, division, and insecurity. What APC needs now is unity, strategic leadership, discipline, and collective responsibility.
May Oyo APC succeed.
May Tinubu succeed.
May Nigeria succeed.

Sunday Igboho Seeks Approval to Flush Out Bandits from South-West Forests
Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, has called on the Federal Government and governors in the South-West region to approve the operation of a proposed security network aimed at tackling criminal activities in forests across Yorubaland.
Igboho made the appeal on Tuesday while reacting to the recent abduction incident in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, where armed attackers reportedly invaded schools and kidnapped pupils.
In a statement issued to sympathise with families of the victims and parents of the abducted children, the activist expressed readiness to confront bandits and other criminal elements responsible for insecurity in the region.
According to him, he is prepared to lead efforts to flush out criminals hiding in forests across the South-West once the necessary approval is granted by the authorities.
“I’m only awaiting the approval of the government to tackle growing insecurity ravaging the South-West headlong,” he stated.
The incident has continued to generate reactions from concerned residents and groups calling for stronger security measures to protect lives and property in the region.

MURIC Urges Muslim in Oyo to Resist Imposition of Christian as Successor
.. Accuses Makinde of Marginalising Muslims
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has rejected what it describes as Governor Seyi Makinde’s attempt to enthrone a Christian successor in Oyo State, accusing the governor of pursuing a “religious script” that sidelines Muslims in the state.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, MURIC’s Executive Director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, said Makinde, a Christian who has served eight years in office, has no right to “annoint another Christian” as his successor.
“It is turn by turn,” Akintola said. “Seyi Makinde, a Christian governor, has spent eight years in office. He has no right to annoint another Christian as his successor. Christian monopoly of governance must be stopped in Yorubaland.”
