JAMB wishes to inform candidates, institutions and all other users that the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) is temporarily unavailable due to technical challenges associated with its hosting arrangements.

The Board has commenced intensive engagement with the hosting organisation and is working to restore the platform to full functionality as quickly as possible.

We recognise the importance of CAPS, particularly at this critical stage of the admission exercise, and regret the inconvenience this disruption may cause.

Please be assured that we are working to resolve the issue and will provide further updates as developments unfold.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

2027 UTME: A SAFER START FOR CANDIDATES

JAMB has adjusted the arrival time for candidates in the first UTME examination session, moving it from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

The adjustment is aimed at reducing the challenges associated with very early-morning travel, particularly for candidates travelling long distances to their CBT centres.

The decision was reached during the Boardโ€™s 2026 Management and IT Retreat, as part of efforts to make the 2027 UTME safer, more efficient and more convenient for candidates.

Please note: The new 7:00 a.m. arrival time applies to the first examination session. Further details on the complete 2027 UTME timetable will be communicated through JAMBโ€™s official channels.

A safer journey. A better UTME experience.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has adjusted the arrival and examination times for candidates participating in the first session of the 2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Under the revised schedule:

Arrival at CBT Centre: 7:30 a.m.
First Session Examination Begins: 8:30 a.m.
First Session Examination Ends: 10:30 a.m.

Previously, candidates were expected to arrive at their designated Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres by 6:30 a.m.

According to JAMB, the adjustment is aimed at addressing safety and logistical concerns associated with very early-morning movement by candidates.

The Board noted that the concern is particularly important for candidates who travel long distances to their examination centres and may have to leave their homes before dawn.
