Oyo Police Dismiss 7pm Curfew Rumour, Say No Movement Restriction in the State. The Oyo State Police Command has dismissed rumors of an alleged 7pm curfew and movement restrictions within and outside Ibadan, assuring residents that there is no security threat warranting panic. In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ayanlade Olayinka, described the reports as false and misleading. The police assured residents that adequate security measures have been put in place across the state, with officers and operatives strategically deployed to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of lives and properties. The command warned individuals and groups against spreading false information or unverified reports capable of causing panic and fear among the public, stressing that anyone found culpable would be investigated and prosecuted in accordance with the law. Residents were advised to disregard the rumors and continue with their lawful activities without fear, while the command reiterated that any official security directive or emergency measure would only be communicated through verified official channels. The police urged members of the public to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and cooperative with security agencies in the collective effort to sustain peace and public order across Oyo State.

So Nigerians, especially the Yoruba, are so scared and believe in word of mouth rather than God's obedience, commands, or government law! See how everyone goes silent by 9:00 pm daily!

Yah Allah, let your mercy speak on me. Life is getting tough and people have been waiting to mourn me and use me to abuse you. Please let their negative wishes not supersede my efforts to make it in life.

It’s so funny how some customers argue with engineers whenever we tell them what’s wrong with their phone.

Yesterday, a young lady brought in an iPhone 8+ for a screen replacement. But after checking it, I found out the screen was actually fine — it was the battery that was bad. I told her she needed to change the battery, but she argued and insisted I should just change the screen for her.

I just smiled and said “okay” because I hate talking too much. I collected my money, changed the screen, and of course, it didn’t turn on. Then she asked, “What’s the problem now? The screen you put in isn’t good.”

So I removed the battery, put in a new one, and the phone turned on. After that, all she said was that the battery was low and she’d go home to charge it herself. I said okay.

After a whole day of charging, the phone still didn’t turn on, so she came back and asked me to change the battery. I smiled and raised the price by 50%. She begged me to reduce it.

In the end, she paid 30% more than she would have paid initially.

My fellow engineers, how do you see this?
