Why a Clarity Session Should Never Be a Recorded Session

Someone recently reached out to us saying they once paid someone for a so-called Study Abroad Clarity session only to receive a recorded video.

There was no interaction, no opportunity to ask questions, no guidance specific to their situation.

No...that’s not a clarity session. It's better called a C0nfusion session.

A Clarity Session is supposed to be a live and personalized conversation.

It should be a safe space where you can open up about your study abroad concerns, ask questions, and get answers in real time.

It’s where your unique background, dreams, and fears are considered so you don’t end up making costly mistakes.

Why would anyone replace that with a recorded video? 🤔

Our Clarity Sessions are designed to give you exactly what you need:

✅ Live & interactive where you ask questions and we give answer on the spot.

✅ Personalized roadmap tailored to guide you based on your study goals.

✅ Clarity over confusion that helps you put off endless online searches that often leaves you more stuck than before.

✅ Professional support from experts who understand the study abroad process inside and out.

When you book a Clarity Session with us, you’re not just getting “information.” You’re getting direction, confidence, and clarity to move forward.

So if you’re ready to stop guessing and start planning smartly, book your Clarity Session today.

THEY NOW CALL IT INTERACTIVE SESSION BUT DO NOT BE DECEIVED IT IS AN INTERVIEW

70-80% of schools abroad now engage prospective students who want to Japa in a conversation before granting admission.

Some call it an "admission interview" but most will water it down and label it an "interactive session".

Why?

Because they know the word interview shakes most people.

It kind of carries pressure and puts you on edge. So they rebrand it just to make you relax.

But let me tell you this straight.

Whether they call it an interactive session, online conversation, or a casual chat, your performance during that session can determine whether you get admitted or not.

I personally wish they would call it what it is: interview, so your spirit, soul, and body will sit up and take it seriously.

This soft term “interactive” makes too many of you show up casually, speak recklessly, run your mouth like diarrhoea, and land yourselves in avoidable rejections.

Anyway, just this morning one of my clients sent a message to let me know of the school we applied to called her.

No panic. No surprises. All the prep had been done.

That’s the advantage of having the right study abroad plug plus guidance and being part of a prepared circle.

The July intake of Japa Smart Cohort is ongoing.

Do not wait till your phone rings with a foreign number and you start sweating like a festive goat on the spot.

Join a system that trains you for every stage: admission, visa, and yes, interview.

If you snooze, then be ready to l0se.

FULLY FUNDED MASTER’S DEGREE?

IT’S NOT FOR THE FAINTHEARTED.

I know everyone would prefer a Fully funded scholarship abroad than paying a tuition fee even if it costs just 1 cent.

But let me clarify something:

Fully funded scholarships are not your “Plan B.”

They’re not a magic escape route for SAPA

They are a personal race, and only the excellent, the strategic, and the prepared make it to the finish line.

As an International Student Recruiter who's spent years guiding people through the study abroad journey, here’s something I must say loud and clear:

❌NO agent, no coach, no consultant — not even me — can hand you a scholarship.

What most experts pitching Scholarship opportunity can offer is guidance, resources, structure, and strategy.

But the scholarship itself? That’s YOUR battle. You need to fight it yourself.

Your results. Your story. Your track record.

So, what’s the right age to pursue a fully funded Master’s?

📌 22–35 years!

That’s your golden window.

Why this age?

At this age:

✅ You’re close enough to your academic journey.
✅ You still have time to show impact in your field.
✅ You’re adaptable and likely to meet the eligibility criteria of most global scholarships.

But once you're crossing into the 36+ range, it’s not impossible. However, the doors get fewer, the competition gets tighter, and the scrutiny increases.

And here’s the raw truth that may sound untrue to you.

Fully funded scholarships are not meant for the average.

They are reserved for:

People with outstanding academic or professional profiles,

People with purpose and proof of past results,

People who don’t just want it, but have earned it.

So before you start dreaming of “free Master’s abroad,” ask yourself:

❓ Have I done the work?

❓ Do I have a compelling story of growth, impact, and potential?

❓Am I ready to apply for 10+ rejections before 1 YES?

I won’t lie to you. No one can hand you Postgraduates Fully Funded scholarship.

But Japa Smart can link you up with affordable schools abroad via my Premium Study Abroad service or Japa Smart Cohort (DIY session)

Send a DM and let's discuss your options.

Funny how the same job that brings shame in Nigeria brings pride abroad.

Let’s talk.

Most of the jobs people mock in Naija: janitor, cleaner, dishwasher, caregiver, construction worker are the exact jobs many Nigerians are doing abroad and living well from.

And you know what?

They’re doing these jobs with joy and dignity.

Because the truth is, Nigerians are not lazy.

Nigerians don’t mind working hard. But the real question is: how rewarding is the work?

An average cleaner in Nigeria can’t even afford to rent a decent 2-bedroom apartment.

Meanwhile, that same job abroad can pay your rent, take care of bills, and still allow you send something back home.

It’s painful to see those who carry blocks at construction sites, dig wells, and hustle under the hot sun getting paid peanuts… while someone in an office pressing phone and signing documents earns times five.

This is why people “japa” and do the same jobs they were ashamed of doing in Nigeria with their full chest.

Abroad, they get paid well, treated with respect, and even get health benefits and days off.

Nobody is too big to do an unskilled job.

The real problem is how poorly those jobs are rewarded here in Naija.

You got the offer of admission—now what next?

First of all, I say a BIG congratulations on your offer of admission!

It's really a big win and I’m genuinely happy you crossed that hurdle.

But let me be honest with you, getting the offer is just the beginning of your big study abroad dream

Before you start informing everyone that you'll soon Japa or pricing ticket on Travelstart or Wakanow, kindly pause and read this:

1. Should you accept the offer immediately?

Hmm… not always.

You need to re-confirm if that school is the best option for your visa chances.

Can you afford the tuition or are there flexible payment plans?

These are things you must think through before rushing to accept.

2. Your financial documents must be on point.

This isn't a child's play.

If your bank statement or sponsor letter isn’t solid, you might be setting yourself up for a visa refusal.

And you don’t want that kind of setback after coming this far.

3. Applying for your visa is a whole process on its own.

No, the Vis@ application isn't just about “filling the form and praying.”

There’s a way to structure your application especially your SOP, that makes your case stronger.

In fact, you need to read in-between each letter of the application before you input any response.

4. Then there’s planning your travel, housing, and landing smart.

It’s not just about travelling abroad, it’s about moving intentionally and avoiding mistakes that can stress you unnecessarily when you arrive.

Now listen..

Getting in is good.

But going through successfully is better.

If you don’t want to make costly errors…

If you want someone to walk the journey with you…

If you want to prepare like someone that knows what they’re doing...

Then I invite you to join the Japa Smart Cohort- July Intake.

The Cohort isn't just about loading you with study abroad information.

In the Cohort, we'll give you step-by-step guidance, group accountability, and expert support to move from admission to departure the right way.

📌 Enrollment is happening NOW throughout June.

I’ll send you the details personally.

Before You Give Up, Read This…

Adesuwa had always dreamt of leaving the country.

She tried every means suggested by her travel agent: tourist visa, visiting friends, even booking fake conferences.

Each time, she put in money, effort, and hope…

And each time, she got a visa denial.

She cried. She was tired.

She started to think maybe travelling abroad wasn’t for her.

But instead of giving up on her dream, she sat down and asked herself a hard question:

“Why exactly do I want to leave Naija? And does the travel reasons I've been tendering to the embassy make sense to Vis@ Officer reading my visa application?”

That was exactly her turning point.

She stopped chasing shortcuts and decided to go through a more genuine and concrete route: the Study Route.

Fast forward to a few months later…

✅ She got admission into a good school
✅ With discounts on tuition
✅ And most importantly...she got her visa approved

Sometimes, it’s not that your dream is too big…
You’re just not going about it the right way.

Visa officers want to see a genuine reason.

You can’t just wake up and say you want to cross oceans to a country where you know no one.

You have to show them why your journey makes sense.

So let me ask you…

Have you been denied a vis@ again and again?

Maybe it’s time to change your WHY.

-The Japa Smart Cohort (July Intake) is here to help you do just that.

Inside the cohort:
✅ We guide you to right School/Country
✅ Help you apply through the right route
✅ Prepare you for visa success

It's high time you stopped guessing.

Start doing it the right way.

You’ve tried it your way. Now let us help you do it the smart way.

Don’t give up. Your story can still change.

You were told everything is on G00gle and then you sheepishly log into it..

One thing I always tell my study abroad client is that what you'll be shown when you log in to G00gle in Kwara is also what someone in Edo would be shown..

Then where is the uniqueness of your travel intention?

Stop Copying SOPs on Google!

Vis@ officers are not stupid."

If you Google “SOP for study visa” and copy the first one you see,

Trust me— the embassy has seen it too.

And 1,000 other people across the globe have used it.

That’s why you get denied.

Not because you’re unlucky, but because you weren’t intentional.

📌 In the Japa Smart Cohort, we guide you towards writing SOPs that sound like you and make sense to them.
