62ND FOUNDERS'DAY ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

The 62nd founders'day anniversary celebrations of Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School came to a close on Saturday 5th February 2022 with Anniversary Lecture delivered by Dr. Abiodun Adeoye, an old student of the school and Chairman Medical Advisory Committee of UCH. The lecture focused on Health after 40s, the scourge of Hypertension.

In his address at the grand finale the National President of ICAGSOBA, Dr. Morohunkola Thomas enumerated some of the efforts of the association in supporting the school such as provision of desks and benches for 1,000 students, organizing preparatory classes for final year students. He also mentioned that the association has instituted Award Prizes for outstanding students in various subjects and that a committee has been put up to organize prize giving day from this year.

Dr. Morohunkola announced that from this year members are to pay annual membership dues as this will help in the running of the association.

The Anniversary celebration featured Career talk/Counselling sessions for the students, Science Exhibition, Anniversary lecture, Business session and Award of honour to some members who have done well in their various fields of endeavors and for their contributions to the School.

Some of the Awardees are Dr. Kayode Ajayi, Dr. Abiodun Adeoye, Dr. Kehinde Oladeji, and Comrade Ayobami Adeogun.

A renovated building by 1981 was commissioned and presented to the school. In attendance were set representatives, past and present leaders of the association. The Hon. Commissioner of Education Oyo state, Barr. Rahman Abiodun Abdulraheem also graced the occasion.

It's the Grand finale of the
62nd Founders'day Anniversary Celebrations today Saturday 5th February 2022, from 10 am at the School hall.

There will be an Anniversary Lecture that will be delivered by a distinguished old boy - Dr ABIODUN ADEOYE, a Consultant Cardiologist, the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) and Director of Medical Services at UCH. He is of 1984 set.

The Topic of the Lecture is YOUR HEALTH AFTER 40s; THE SCOURGE OF HYPERTENSION

There will be questions and answers time after the Lecture.

BUSINESS SESSION:

After the Anniversary Lecture, we shall break into different groups where we shall engage ourselves in our various line of Duties/Professions to chat and share knowledge on beneficial ways forward.

AWARDS: There will be presentation of Awards to six distinguished old boys who have done well in terms of contributions towards their Alma mater and their exploits in their carreers.

LIBRARY COMMISSIONING:

There will be Commissioning of the new school library building built by the 1981 set.

The Anniversary Thanksgiving service to be held on Sunday 6th February 2022 @ CAC Olugbode Ibadan.
