*RESOLUTION OF THE COALITION OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN OYO STATE*

Following the recent incidents of kidnapping at Yawota and Esiele in Ogbomosho, and in consideration of the safety and security of our pupils, students, staff, and school communities, the Coalition of Private Schools in Oyo State hereby resolves as follows:

1.All private schools across Oyo State shall be closed on Friday, 5th June, 2026.

2.A special Prayer Session shall be organized by all private schools across the state on the same day, seeking divine intervention, protection, peace, and security for our communities, schools, and the nation at large.

3.Parents, guardians, school proprietors, teachers, and students are encouraged to participate in the prayer programme as directed by their respective schools.

4.The Coalition strongly condemns all forms of criminal activities and calls on the relevant security agencies to intensify efforts toward safeguarding lives and property within our communities.

We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders as we collectively seek lasting peace and security in Oyo State.
