TOPIC: A NEW PATH

TEXT: Isa. 42:16 - And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

It's the time of the year again where men hope they understand the mind of the Lord about their lives. They want to have an understanding of what the next phase would look like. In the pursuit for this, men pray, some just wish, while some end up just guessing.

However, it's not about what you do, but can I just be your prophet this early morning? Can we agree together that the next phase of your life is tagged: A NEW PATH?!

What the Lord is set to do with your life for the next phase, or perhaps the next year, is that He wants to open fresh and new doors, and it will be marvelous and glorious.

The text above explained how far God can go to channel a new path for a man. The Lord said He will make a blind man walk on a new path, He will also make darkness turn into light. He also promised to give a new path that you know nothing about. And He ended that verse by saying, "I'll not forsake you." As long as you hang on to Him, He's never going to forsake you, nor leave you.

So, be prepared for a phase or a year of new course. It's a year that will be filled with pleasant surprises, because you will just see yourself doing things you don't think you can do. So be prepared, hang on to Him, and He won't forsake you.

WELCOME TO YOUR NEW PATH!

THINK TANK: Be open to different dimensions, because God is making a new path!

PRAYER: Help me not to miss out on what you have for me, in Jesus' Name.

TOPIC: THE DEMAND OF LOVE
TEXT:
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Merry Christmas to you. May this season bring you happiness and renewed hope for the future in Jesus' Name.

Even though Christmas has become an annual event where we celebrate and remember the amazing story of Jesus' birth, and also while the date has become a matter of debate over the years and a doctrinal challenge, we would not bother ourselves with what is meant to be or not. We would rather reflect on His birth and the extent of love God showed us by allowing His words to be made flesh and then dwell amongst us.

The birth of Jesus Christ is a clear demonstration of the love God has for us, from the text above, it was clearly explained that the reason God decided to send his Son to us is simply because of love. Considering this in two ways, the depth of God's love towards us and our reaction towards this love.

The demand for love requires that something must be given out, and that's why God gave out Jesus because he so much loves us; it was this push of love that brought Jesus. So our response to this is to love God by loving people around us. And if we claim to love, then, we must pay the demand of love. We must give to God all our lives and also give to people we claim you love.

If you claim to love, we should be asking if you are paying the demands of love. This season is a season of love, and God has demonstrated it; will you demonstrate it too?

THINK TANK: If you love, are you paying the price?

PRAYER: Father, thank you for loving us this much; help me to love genuinely in Jesus' Name.

TOPIC: WHILE WAITING

TEXT: Gen.50.15 - When Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, "What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?"
Gen.50.16 - So they sent word to Joseph, saying, "Your father left these instructions before he died:
Gen.50.17 - 'This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.' Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father." When their message came to him, Joseph wept.
Gen.50.18 - His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. "We are your slaves," they said.
Gen.50.19 - But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God?
Gen.50.20 - You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

As we know that waiting period isn't a wasting period and that God is building something serious in our lives as we wait on him to bring to pass his promises. The question here now is that, while we wait what should we get busy with? We can't afford to allow the period of waiting to just be a time where we relax, rest, or do nothing. And if we fail to get the point God is making during our waiting period, we may waste the results when we finally get to the destination.

One of the reasons why God would take us through a path where we wait is because he wants to build us for what we are expecting, so while we wait we must pay attention to what he's doing with our lives. Joseph had a revelation from God about what his life would become but before he would get to where God wants him to be, there are a lot of things he must learn. These things are not what he would learn in his father's house. Beyond the skills, there's another thing God wants him to learn while he waits for destiny fulfillment.

In the text above, Joseph explained to his brothers that while he was waiting in slavery, he had learned that whatever becomes of his life, it's God who had permitted it. He must have learned that during the waiting period, he must have been paying attention to what God was doing in his life during those 13 years of rigorous waiting. He didn't fumble what God did through him because while waiting, he understood what God was doing with him.

Pay close attention to what God is doing with your life, don't just sit there and say you're waiting. Don't be like Saul, be intentional about everything that is going on around you now, develop your relationship with God more, build up your skills, and be more resolute and sensitive to how God is dealing with you. Remember, if your waiting period is worth it, then you must be deliberate.

THINK TANK: While waiting, learn what about what God is making with your life.
