Life is in phases/stages, don't permit anyone to pressure you into doing what is not right. The truth is that when the repercussion/ consequences of you decision or action(s) will come, you'll bear it all alone, the funniest part is that the "pressure cookers" will change the narrative to "we told her, she shouldn't have."
Be wise!!
Think twice!!
Have a blessed and fruitful week

After the death of the Abimbola's, all fingers initially pointed at Charles.
Who would you have pointed at if you were there?
Charles was always antagonistic, but the Abimbola's did not mind because they had made a promise to Mrs King, Charles' mother on her dieing bed that they were going to take care of Charles until he was able to stand on his own. Mrs King was Mrs Abimbola's nanny, who wholeheartedly took care and nursed her like her own when she was a baby. When Mrs Abimbola moved in with her husband after her wedding, she pleaded with her to come along, as she felt she, Mrs King will equally help in nursing her own child.
Was that a right decision?
Oh! Let me read your mind.....mmmmmmmmm
They would have settled her and allow her to start a new life for herself, abi?
I hear you, Mrs king loved and accepted the idea. At least, she had a roof over her head, protection from her late husband's family who wanted to force her to marry someone from the husband's family after the death of her late husband. To Mrs King, protection was her major want and the safety of her only child was her priority.
The Abimbolas made sure the young child was well taken care of, he lacked nothing and had the things he needed without challenge. Mrs Abimbola was not happy because she didn't conceive after eight years of marriage. Mrs King played the role of a mother, always encouraging her and giving her hope.
As fate would have it, Mrs Abimbola took in, and the joy in her could not be hidden. Six years after the birth of Hilda, Mrs king became seriously ill and all efforts to get her again on her feet proved abortive, but she only had a wish, which was that the Abimbola's should take care of her only child, Charles.
This was why despite everything he, Charles did, the Abimbola's overlooked them. They still considered him their child because of his mum's kindness. This was why all fingers pointed to him at the death of the Abimbola's. He was in charge of all the housekeepers, so it was expected that he keeps an eye on everything happening in the house. Charles was arrested and detained in the course of the investigation, since he was the chief suspect. Charles tried all he could to convince everyone that he was innocent, but no one listened to him. Hilda was heartbroken and devastated. She wondered how his parents could have done just like that.
.....wait o, are you wondering how Hilda escaped eating the poisoned food?
I'm even surprised that she did not die too, omo this one weak me sha o
Oya na, my popcorn has finished
I'll be right back...

Helpppppppp!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!
The scream the came from the next room work Sade up from her beautiful sleep. She wondered what exactly was going on. Upon checking the time, she realizes it was 12:42am. What could be the problem by this time, was it her baby? Was it robbers? Sade tried to guess what exactly was wrong with Hilda, but the fear of "borrowing another man's "wahala" made her sit still in bed. But when the cry for help became louder, that she could practically feel the pain in Hilda's voice, she, Sade decided to abandon her beautiful sleep, comfortable bed, air conditioned room, damn the consequences to safe Hilda from whatever it was.
Hilda's story is a sad one, the day I heard her story, I couldn't help but shade tears. Hilda was a young lady who was born with a silver spoon. She had everything at her berk and call. She had servants standing to serve her. Oh! I forgot to tell you that she was a beauty to behold, what people call "goddess of beauty." She was actually her grandmother's doppelganger. Hilda lived in a beautiful house with her rich and amazing parents, though they were her parents, but she humble, kind and gentle. Life was a bed of roses for her, untill one fateful day, a day Hilda can never forget in a hurry.
Mr and Mrs Abimbola were amazing couple. Despite their wealth and affluence, they treated both their maids and other domestic staff the same. It was unacceptable for their only child to insult any of the domestic staff. There was peace and unity as they thought in their home. Little did the Abimbolas know that calamity looms by the corner. Charles, one of the housekeepers was envious of Hilda. Despite all that was done by the Abimbolas to make life comfortable for everyone working with and for them, he, Charles still wanted more. He wished he was the biological son of the family, so he could take over all the wealth of the Abimbolas.
This led him, Charles to poisoning the minds of some of the other domestic staff against their employers. Their envy and jealousy led them to take a drastic action that brought Hilda from grass to grace. One that fateful, Hilda work up to see the corpses of her caring and amazing parents. She thought it was a dream, and wished to wake up from such dream. But it was real. She had lost her parents to the cold hands of death. Yes! Your guess is as good as mine, they were poisoned.
By who?
By Mr Abimbola's bossom friend. A man Hilda grew up to know as his uncle.
Mmmmmmmm!
Did I hear you say pathetic?
Yes, it was really pathetic.
That was how Hilda lost all her parents had ever worked for, relocated to the slums and here she was at the face of danger, crying for help, yet no one was there to offer any.
What was the danger she was facing?
Hold the thought!!!
Let me grab a pack of popcorn and a chilled soda, I'll tell you what exactly she was facing.
Meanwhile
Happy Easter celebration from all of us here at Morning Star Comprehensive College, Olode
We love you!!!
In the spirit of the season, Christ (Sade) left His throne, His glory, Honour and splendor just to save us (Hilda). Such a love!!!
Pride is like HIV/AIDS. It enters the body, stays, grows and attacks the human immune system. Pride gets in gradually, attacks all aspects of our lives, closes doors and blinds humans to certain realities of life. Once it germinates, it explodes and destroys the human without mercy. The human wonders how it started, its effects are like a mystery that cannot be understood. Its effect is devastating and dangerous.
What started as a joke escalates like a tsunami without mercy. Overlook that voice in your head that keeps saying " who are these? Do I look like I belong to their level?" Never nurse any atom of pride as its consequences are daring and its effects are disastrous.
Pride they say goes before a fall. A fall that sinks you in till eternity and destroy every good thing you have worked for.
