Crescendo Elocution

COMBINATION OF LETTERS REPRESENTING /ei/ SOUND
This sound starts as /e/, a front sound and ends as /i/ which is also a front but higher sound. It is produced with the lips spread. The sound is often mispronounced as /e/ by most people instead of/ei/.For example, gate is is produced as /get/instead of /geit/.

Letter a sounds as ei when it is followed by a single consonant sound and then a vowel sound.For example:
