My husband and I have been having the same conversation over and over again lately:

How do we make MORE calcium during the rainy season? 😭😭

Because our calcium powder is almost sold out.

And as exciting as it is to see people buying and using what we produce from discarded snail shells, we’ve now reached a point where we have to make a very expensive decision.

When our current stock finishes, we will temporarily move to pre-orders only.

That means you could be waiting approximately 8 weeks for your next batch.

So please, if you already know your calcium will finish next month, don’t wait until you run out.

Pre-order your next batch NOW.

The price is still the same. We’ll simply make sure your order is prioritized when the next batch is ready.

And there’s another update:

Onky 10 Starter Pack slots is left . because the complimentary calcium included in the package is almost sold out.
Honestly i can’t believe I am typing this 🫣 thank you for buying local !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A snail shell doesn’t disappear just because the snail is gone.

Unlike a banana peel or yam skin, a shell can remain in the environment for a very long time. What breaks down is the organic matter left on it — and that’s where the problem begins.

The smell.
The flies and other pests.
The unsightly piles around markets and neighbourhoods.
And when these shells are dumped indiscriminately, they can contribute to environmental pollution and affect surrounding soil and waterways.

The uncomfortable truth is that this waste is being generated every single day in the same communities where snails are sold, cooked and eaten.

We often talk about food waste, plastic waste and other environmental challenges.

But snail shell waste?

It’s one of those problems hiding in plain sight.

And at The Calcium Hub, we believe the solution isn’t simply to move the waste from one place to another.

It’s to capture its value, transform it and put it back into the economy.

Because what looks like waste to one person can become a resource, an income stream and part of a circular economy.

So, let me ask you:

What is your city doing about snail shell waste?
