Today, in a significant step towards shaping the future of Asari-Toru Local Government, I, Alabo Rt. Hon. Ibifiri Clinton George, Leader of the 8th Asari-Toru Legislative Assembly, alongside my honourable colleagues, received the 2026 Proposed Budget from our Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. Onengiyeofori George DSSRS, in the hallow chamber of our Legislative Assembly.

I'm pleased to announce that the budget has successfully passed the first reading stage.

This milestone underscores our commitment to transparency, accountability, and collaborative governance.

We appreciate the Executive Chairman's dedication to presenting a budget that addresses the needs of our people and drives progress in Asari-Toru.

We look forward to a thorough review and constructive engagement with the Executive and other stakeholders to ensure the budget aligns with the aspirations of our community.

At Mummy Agbani Roseline Amachree JP Funeral in Buguma Yesterday.

I was deeply honoured to join a host of distinguished dignitaries, including my Principal, Alabo Dr. Dax George-Kelly, Hon Major Jack, Hon. Enemi Alabo, the Executive Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Hon. Dr. Onengiyeofiri Georg, and honourable members of the 8th Asari-Toru Legislative Assembly and others, to pay my last respects to the late mother of Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree, Hon. Agabani Roseline Amachree.

The funeral service, held in the historic city of Buguma, was a befitting celebration of her life, legacy, and the indelible impact she left on our community. The atmosphere was solemn, yet filled with joy and gratitude for a life well-lived.

May her soul rest in peace and may the Amachree family find comfort in the Lord during this difficult time.

We stand with Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree and the entire Amachree family in this moment of grief, celebrating her life and the values she instilled. May her legacy continue to inspire us all.

Also honoured the invitation of my colleague Hon. Ferdinand of Ward 6 Asalga, joining him to pay tribute to his late Sister.
