A HEARTFELT GESTURE OF LOVE AND GIVING

Yesterday, YOSI KALEB LAMAI visited Raudatul Qur’an International School (RQIS) and generously donated books to 70 students as part of her birthday celebration.

We are deeply grateful that she chose to mark her special day with such a meaningful act of kindness. Her thoughtful gesture has brought joy to our students and reflects the beauty of giving and community.

On behalf of the School Management and the entire RQIS family, we sincerely appreciate Yosi for her kindness and generosity.

As she celebrates her birthday, she has also asked for prayers for her father, who is currently on a sickbed. We pray that Allah grants him complete healing, renewed strength, and a quick recovery.

May Allah bless Yosi with many more years in good health, happiness, and purpose, and reward her abundantly for this beautiful gesture.

1. Newton’s Laws of Motion and the Effect of Gravity on an Inclined Plane, demonstrated using a remote-control toy car and two non-remote-control toy cars of different masses.

RQIS STUDENTS MAKING KALTUNGO PROUD! 🎉

Join us in congratulating RASHIDA MUHAMMAD, a JSS1 student of RQIS and a student of the RQIS Islamiyya Section, who emerged 1st Position in the 5th-Hizb Category at the Gombe State level of the AYTAM Qur’anic Musabaqa.

With this outstanding achievement, RASHIDA will represent Gombe State at the NATIONAL levels, which will be held in YOBE STATE.

Other Outstanding Results:

1. Asma’u Abdullahi — 2nd Position, 5-Hizb Category
2. Affan Usman — 3rd Position, 2-Hizb Category
3. Hauwa Abubakar — 3rd Position, 10-Hizb Category

Raudatul Qur’an International School (RQIS), Kaltungo, warmly welcomes all staff, returning students, and newly admitted students as we resume for the new term on Sunday, 13th September 2026.

This new term marks a renewed direction, with positive changes and new initiatives aimed at strengthening our academic standards and enhancing the overall learning experience.

The School Director reassures parents and guardians that their trust and prayers will not go unanswered. The management remains committed to doing more for the students and ensuring that every child receives quality education and the support needed to thrive at RQIS.

FOUR YEARS OF GROWTH & ACHIEVEMENT OF RQIS SECONDARY SECTION

Today marks approximately four years since the establishment of the Secondary Section of RQIS.

Within these four years, RQIS has recorded notable achievements in academics, student development, social impact and infrastructure.

1. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS

RQIS organises inter-house Quiz, Spelling Bee, Debate and Mathematics competitions to develop students’ academic abilities and confidence.

In 2025, six students represented RQIS at the maiden Mr. NIBI Manasseh Mathematics Quiz and emerged 1st in the competition, becoming champions.

In 2026, three Junior students secured 2nd position, while three SS1 students emerged 1st at the Senior level, despite being in their first term.

The school has also participated twice in the STEM Quiz, with an impressive performance.

2. EDUCATION WITH IMPACT

RQIS provides half-fee and, in some cases, full-fee support for orphans.

The annual Speech and Prize Giving Day also recognises students’ achievements and attracts support towards students’ education.

3. STRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT

The Secondary Section has moved from the temporary site to the permanent premises, with classroom reforms and the construction of the school laboratory.

In Sha Allah, the multipurpose hall will also be completed soon.

4. THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE JOURNEY

More than 20 academic and non-academic staff continue to contribute to the growth of the school.

5. STUDENT DEVELOPMENT & FUTURE PREPARATION

From starting with JSS1, the Secondary Section has now reached SS2.

Students have also benefited from educational excursions to GSU Zoo, Dadin Kowa Hydroelectric Power Station, Water Treatment Plant, Federal College of Horticulture Garden and Lamonje Farms, Kaltungo, connecting classroom learning with real-world experience.

Other initiatives include compulsory JAMB novel reading, academic mentoring, career guidance and weekly individual presentations to build confidence and prepare students for the future.

LOOKING AHEAD

Four years gone, with many more goals and dreams ahead. We look forward to greater achievements, stronger impact and continued growth, In Sha Allah.

RQIS RESUMPTION & IMPORTANT NOTICE

As we prepare to resume on Sunday, 13th September 2026, parents and guardians are reminded that admission forms are still on sale. Those who have purchased forms are encouraged to return the completed forms and collect the necessary school entry requirements before resumption.

As showcased yesterday, the RQIS MANAGEMENT HAS BUILT the science laboratory for our students, one of the best in Kaltungo. This milestone reflects the Management’s commitment to quality, practical-based education. Enrol your child and let them benefit from this vision, built with their future in mind.

Students in both Primary and Secondary sections who are experiencing Apollo (conjunctivitis) are advised to remain at home until they have fully recovered, in order to protect others and prevent the spread of infection within the school community.

With the school laboratory almost ready for use, parents are strongly advised to ensure that students resume on the scheduled date, as practical sessions may commence at any time. This is particularly important for SS2 students, who need to make up for practicals missed in SS1 and begin the new term without delay.

RQIS SCIENCE LABORATORY DEVELOPMENT UPDATE & OFFICIAL CLARIFICATION

As part of the Management’s vision to strengthen the learning environment at Raudatul Qur’an International School (RQIS), Kaltungo), several reforms and development initiatives have been undertaken, with the science laboratory being one of them. The laboratory is now approximately 90% structurally complete and is expected to become operational within the first or second week of resumption.

For the avoidance of doubt, the project is 100% funded and executed by the School Management, with no external sponsorship or support. We therefore urge the public to disregard rumours or unverified information misrepresenting its status, ownership, or source of funding to the government official or any other party. The official RQIS page remains the recognised source of verified school information and updates.

Envisioned and planned by the Management over the past one year, the laboratory reflects our continued commitment to improving academic facilities.

May Allah reward the Management, dedicated staff, workers, and everyone contributing to RQIS, grant them wisdom and strength, and continue to bless the school with progress and excellence.
