Your voices, your presence, and your passion for words transformed the gathering into more than just a session it became a celebration of creativity, expression, and community. Each poem shared was a spark, reminding us of the power of art to connect hearts and inspire change.

We are grateful for your active participation and the spirit you brought into the space. Together, we are not only reading poetry, but also writing a new story of collaboration, empowerment, and hope.

A shining star like the morning sun both day and night.

The Gombe Fashion and Art Festival (GOFART) is a unique event that celebrates the rich and diverse culture of Gombe State through the lens of fashion and art.

The event aims to showcase the talent and creativity of local artists and designers, as well as promote the cultural heritage and identity of the people of Gombe.

The theme of this year's edition is "Bridging the Gap between Modern Contemporary Art and Fashion with Culture." The event will explore how fashion and art can reflect and influence the cultural values and norms of society, as well as how they can foster dialogue and collaboration among different groups and stakeholders.

The event will feature various programs, such as:
- Arts exhibition: a display of artworks by local artists, ranging from paintings, sculptures, photography, mixed media, and installations. The exhibition will highlight the themes of culture, identity, diversity, and social issues.

- Fashion runway: a showcase of collections by local designers, inspired by the culture and traditions of Gombe. The runway will also feature models from different backgrounds and walks of life, representing the diversity and inclusivity of the event.Panel session: A discussion among experts, practitioners, and enthusiasts from the fields of fashion, art, culture, and media. The panel will address topics such as the challenges and opportunities of the creative industry in Gombe, the role of fashion and art in social change, and future trends and innovations in the sector.
- Networking and capacity training: an opportunity for participants to interact and exchange ideas with peers, mentors, and potential partners from the industry. The event will also offer workshops and seminars on various skills and topics related to fashion, art, and culture.

Atango is a house boy who drinks his Boss's wine with impunity and then adds water to cover his tracks.

His Boss became suspicious and decided to buy pasties (a French wine that changes color if u add water; just like Dettol).

Unaware of this, Atango, drank from the wine as usual and topped it up with water.
Immediately he added water, the pasties became milky and he knew he was in trouble. When the Boss came back and saw the changed pasties, he knew he had nailed along.

Atango knowing he was in trouble decided to stay put in the kitchen when his boss came home. The Boss having told his wife what he observed now swung into action. Atongo!, he called from the sitting room, he answered: "Yes, Boss".

"Who drank my pasties?".

Atango: No answer.

The Boss asked again: still no answer.

Then d Boss went to the kitchen to meet him there: "Are you insane or what? Why when I called, you answered "Yes boss" but when I ask you a question you don't answer me? "Atango retorted, "Hmmm oga when you are in d kitchen you don't understand anything at all, except your name"

"Is that so?" asked the boss, "Okay, go to the bar stand beside Madam, while I go into the kitchen; and then, you ask me a question" Atango accepted.

When his boss was in the kitchen he shouts: "Boss". "Yes, Atango" Boss answers. Atongo then asks, "Who goes into the maid's bedroom when Madam is not at home?" No answer.

The boy shouted again: "Boss, I say who dey sneak into the maid's room when madam no dey house?" No answer.

The Boss runs back from the kitchen shouting "Wonders shall never cease! Atango, It is true o, when one is in the kitchen, one does not hear anything, except one's name." The wife now very angry, interrupted, "That's not true. It's a lie!

Without argument." Atango asked if she'll enter the magic kitchen to be tested. She agreed. Atango asks Madam, "Who's Junior's biological father? Me or the Boss? "Madam rushed out of the kitchen. "This kitchen needs to be renovated...
