People only see the finished cake,the beautiful pictures, the clean finishing.
They don’t see everything that happens before that picture.
They don’t see the long hours, the stress, the frustration, the mistakes and sometimes, having to start all over again. 😔😭
This particular cake broke. 💔
And yes, it was frustrating. But we fixed what we could, redecorated and kept going.
I’m not sharing this for pity, I’m sharing it because I want you to see the other side of the work.
No matter how experienced you are, no matter how careful you are, mistakes are sometimes unavoidable.
At the end of the day, every beautiful cake has a labour of love behind it.
So, when you see the finished product, remember that you’re not just seeing a cake.
You’re seeing the hours, the effort, the patience, the mistakes, the corrections and the love that went into making it.
Behind every perfect cake is a baker who has had to fix something along the way.
