HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL, LESSEL TO REPRESENT USHONGO L.G.A AT BENUE STATE MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD 2026

Lessel, Benue State, 16th May 2026

Holy Trinity School, Lessel is proud to announce that the school will represent Ushongo Local Government Area at the Benue State level of the Mathematics Olympiad 2026.

Following an outstanding performance at the L.G.A. stage of the competition, organized by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN), Benue State Chapter, and held in March 2026, the school’s contingent has been selected to advance to the state competition.

The team departed early this morning, Saturday 16th May 2026, for Sora International Academy, Gboko, Benue State where the state-level contest will take place.

Before departure, the Principal addressed the contingent and conveyed warm blessings and words of encouragement from the Proprietor, Dr. Julius Terf Agor. He wished the students a safe journey and success as they represent the school and Ushongo L.G.A.

At Holy Trinity School, Lessel, we remain committed to our tradition of academic excellence, discipline, and holistic formation. This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the unwavering support of our parents and community.

HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL, LESSEL RECORDS OUTSTANDING SUCCESS AT MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD 2026, SET TO REPRESENT USHONGO L.G.A AT THE STATE LEVEL

Holy Trinity School, Lessel has once again distinguished itself as a center of academic excellence with an impressive performance at the Mathematics Olympiad 2026 Quiz Competition organized by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria (MAN), Benue State Chapter. Competing across the Primary, Junior, and Senior categories, the school recorded remarkable achievements that have brought pride to the entire community.

In the Primary category, Aondover Aondona Jude of Basic 5 emerged in first position, while Aondoseer Ruby Mchivir also of Basic 5 secured fourth place. The Junior category also witnessed a brilliant display of excellence as Terseer Demian Wueseter of Basic 9 clinched first position, with Oraernyi, also of Basic 9, finishing in fourth place. In the Senior category, Tyoakaa Tersoo of SS1 earned a commendable second position, while Atile Lubem Shadrach and Ashir Shakyum, both of SS1, tied for fourth place.

In recognition of these outstanding performances, six learners from Holy Trinity School, Lessel have been selected to represent Ushongo Local Government Area at the state-level competition scheduled to take place at Sora International School, Gboko on the 16th of May, 2026.

🚀 Holy Trinity School Lessel Launches Advanced Staff Information Management System 🚀

Holy Trinity School Lessel has achieved another major milestone with the successful launch of a comprehensive Staff Information Management System, reaffirming the school’s strong commitment to excellence, accountability, and digital innovation.

The newly deployed system centralizes staff bio-data, academic qualifications, professional records, publications, and secure uploads of all academic documents. It also integrates biometric fingerprint attendance for real-time staff monitoring, alongside real-time lesson and class supervision, automated staff performance reports, and productivity tracking. These powerful tools enable management to make informed decisions, reward diligence based on measurable productivity, strengthen staff development, and ultimately enhance the quality of education delivered to students.

This achievement is not a one-off initiative, but part of Holy Trinity School Lessel’s consistent drive toward becoming fully digital in every aspect of its operations. Over the years, the school has successfully implemented a robust e-Dossier system that has been in use for over four years, introduced Computer-Based Tests (CBT) for continuous assessment and termly examinations last year, and deployed a biometric fingerprint attendance system for staff in the last academic session.

Earlier this year, Holy Trinity School Lessel also attained WAEC Examination Centre approval, further cementing its academic standing. Holy Trinity School, Lessel remains committed to its long-standing tradition of providing sound academic excellence for all pupils and students. In preparation for the new academic term, members of staff have already resumed duties to ensure a smooth and productive start.

We firmly believe that a serene and well-structured learning environment enhances effective teaching and learning; therefore, renovation works are currently ongoing to further improve our facilities.

Holy Trinity School Principal host all Staff members to a Grand Dine-and-Wine Get-Together

As the term gradually wind up, the Principal of Holy Trinity School, Lessel, Hon Ukor Mterorga FCAI, hosted members of staff to a well-organized end-of-term get-together that blended relaxation with reflection. The event provided a vibrant platform where both teaching and non-teaching staff came together to interact, exchange ideas, dine and wine, and strengthen the bond that unites the Holy Trinity School family clearly reflecting the spirit of unity and togetherness.

Beyond the atmosphere of celebration, the gathering served as a moment of purposeful engagement. Discussions were thoughtfully centered on teamwork, dedication to duty, humility in service, and the collective responsibility of giving the younger generation nothing but the best. These ideals, staff noted, align strongly with the Proprietor’s vision of building a school known for quality education, sound moral values, and outstanding academic standards within Ushongo Local Government Area, Benue State, and Nigeria at large.

One after another, every member of staff who graced the occasion spoke, expressing profound appreciation to the Principal, Hon. Ukor Mterorga, for the initiative and leadership style that made such a unifying event possible.
