COLLEGE HELD ACADEMIC BOARD MEETING.
The Academic Board of Umar Suleiman College of Education, Gashua, yesterday, Thursday, 6th August 2026, held its scheduled meeting at the College Council Chamber. The meeting commenced at 10:00 a.m. as scheduled under the chairmanship of the Provost.
The Board deliberated on a number of important academic matters, including the presentation and consideration of the First Semester Examination Results, the report on the conduct of the First Semester Examinations, and other issues aimed at strengthening academic standards and enhancing the smooth administration of the College's academic programmes.
In his address, the Provost expressed profound appreciation to the College Management, staff unions, teaching and non-teaching staff for their unwavering commitment, dedication, and collective efforts toward the successful conduct of the semester's academic activities. He particularly commended members of staff for their resilience in supporting the college's drive to address the longstanding challenge of students' enrolment through internally generated initiatives.
The Provost further urged all staff to remain committed to their assigned responsibilities and continue to discharge their duties diligently, professionally, and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the College, stressing that sustained teamwork and dedication are essential for achieving the institution's goals.
The meeting ended successfully after fruitful deliberations, with members reaffirming their commitment to promoting academic excellence and the continued growth and development of the college.
