ENGINEERING VALUATION ACCREDITATION COURSE
The Institute of Appraisers and Cost Engineers (IACE), a division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), is pleased to announce its Engineering Valuation Accreditation Course as part of its commitment to capacity building.
This comprehensive two-part accreditation and certification course is designed to equip engineers with the necessary skills and knowledge in Engineering Valuation.
Course Structure
📌 Part 1: Examination at the end of this stage. Successful candidates will proceed to Part 2.
📌 Part 2: Upon passing the final examination, candidates will be certified as Accredited Engineering Valuers (AEngVal).

Part 1 – CE 101: Cost Engineering Accreditation Course
Dates: Monday 9th – Friday 13th June, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM daily
Fee: ₦50,000 (includes training, materials, and exam)
Target Audience: COREN-registered or registerable engineers
Focus: Cost estimation, control, scheduling, project appraisal, risk analysis, and more
Outcome: Sit for an exam to qualify for Part 2
Part 2 – CE 101: Advanced Topics & Certification

The Institute of Appraisers and Cost Engineers (IACE) is pleased to announce its upcoming National Technical Conference focusing on "Sustainability and Ethical Practices in Appraisal, Cost Engineering, and Engineering Economy in Nigeria." The conference aims to bring together experts, researchers, and practitioners to explore innovative approaches, best practices, and challenges in these critical areas.
Sub-Themes:
1) The role of digital tools, automation, and data analytics in optimizing appraisal and cost engineering workflows and decision-making processes.
2) Techniques for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in appraisal and cost engineering projects to enhance resilience and project success.
3) Professional Development and Ethics: the importance of continuous learning, professional ethics, and standards compliance in maintaining the integrity and credibility of Engineering Valuation, Cost Engineering and Engineering Economy Practices in Nigeria.
Submission Guidelines:
• Abstracts should be submitted by 7th June, 2024.
• Abstracts must be no more than 500 words and should clearly state the objectives, methodology, and findings of the proposed paper.
