The President and Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria spoke at a trade and logistics forum in China, albeit virtually, not just to give a speech, but to tell the world that Nigeria is done playing small. We have a president who actually gets it.

The Renewed Hope Agenda isn’t a slogan; it’s about building real infrastructure that moves people and goods, and if we want to hit that one-trillion-dollar economy by 2030, clogged ports and broken roads are not an option. That’s the simple truth.

China just swung its doors open: zero tariffs on African goods.
That’s not a headline; that’s more of what we grow and make flooding into a massive market. More exports mean more trucks rolling, more containers moving, more sweat and honest pay for the people who actually keep this nation alive. And we didn’t stop at talk.

We locked arms: a Nigerian logistics firm now working shoulder-to-shoulder with a Chinese partner to unclog our ports, slash clearing times, and build supply chains that finally breathe. Nigeria is the crossroads of West Africa, but a crossroads is worthless if the roads are graveyards.

I feel the subsidy removal in my bones. Every driver paying through his nose feels it. But here’s what I saw with my own eyes: ready, impatient money waiting to rush into our roads, railways, and pipelines. The billions we saved from that painful subsidy?
That’s the exact cash we’re pouring into the concrete and steel that will carry us forward. No more theories.

I spoke for the dockworker, the trucker, the logistics operator who refuses to quit. We’re not selling fantasies. The wheels are turning, and I won’t rest until the men and women who move this economy are respected, protected, and given the infrastructure they deserve.
That’s my line in the sand.

The Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (C***A), in collaboration with the management of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, successfully organized a "Special Workshop and Induction Ceremony" for staff and students on 29 June 2026.

The workshop was themed "Strategic Aviation Management and Policy Reforms in a Changing Global Air Transport Industry." The Institute was represented by the President of C***A, who was ably represented by the Assistant National Secretary, Dr. Jimoh Musa Yusuf. Other members of the Institute's delegation included the Registrar, Mr. Rasheed Aiyelabegan, and Mallam Aminu Mukhtar Dan-Musa.

The host institution, NCAT, was led by its Rector, Dr. Danjuma Ismail Adamu, FInstTA, alongside the Deputy Rector, Registrar, and other members of the institution's management team.

As the first programme of its kind to be held in a higher institution in Northern Nigeria, the event attracted wide participation from stakeholders across the transport sector. Distinguished guests included representatives from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, the Federal Road Safety Corps, and the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, all of whom delivered goodwill messages commending the initiative and emphasizing the importance of professional capacity development in the transport and aviation sectors.

A major highlight of the programme was the induction of 15 staff members of NCAT and approximately 100 students into the Institute, marking another significant milestone in C***A's commitment to promoting professionalism and strengthening human capacity development within Nigeria's transport industry.
