An appreciative message from our Year Four Pupils to the teachers, parents and their fellow learners.

Our learners are having coding class.

As the world is currently digital, coding has become a necessary skill for children. Coding is a digital skill which is the process of writing instructions telling a computer, robot or any other technological device what to do.

Through coding children are permitted to create simple games, animations or robots by writing simple commands.

Exposing our learners to this skill surpasses teaching them the use of computer, rather, it educates them on how to think creatively, solve problems and increases their rational development.

At Oasis International School, Trans-Ekulu Enugu, our aim for enabling our learners acquire coding education is for them to be curiosity minded and become creators of technology rather than being just users.

We can attest that since they were exposed to this skill, they have already begun talking about what they want to invent.

This is our STEM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Club). In this Club, our learners are taught on how to make a lot of projects. Each of them is to take one of the projects he/she has made home at the end of every term.

In this video, our learners were having STEM (Science, Technology, Mathematics and Engineering) training. They are being taught about robots.

The second version of our Spelling Competition.

Yesterday, our learners were engaged in Spelling Competition. Spelling is a good exercise for children because it helps them in reading.

It was a very tough Competition as no class emerged as the winner.
