It was a privileged hosting the world poetry day for high school students with Association of Nigerian authors Enugu chapter.

Watching the joy and pride on their faces as they delivered their spoken words, each better than the last was angelic.

We had 17 students perform from the seven schools that attended the event at Evergreen School Enugu.

At the end we had three winners, the winner was from Unique College, the first runner up from Citadel Excellence school, he was a boy in jss1 and the second runner up was from Spring of Life secondary school.

This is what we stand for, impacting in young ones and giving them an opportunity to shine, Princess Sarah Amuche Akpu did a great job in organizing this event that was so massive. As the founder of YINA and host of the annual YINA Conference and competitions in creative writing, spoken word, and reading drill competition as well as the Chairman of Association of Nigerian authors, what happened on Friday 21st is nothing short of a surprise.

We're still planning for YINA Conference 2025 in a bigger way.. our target is south East and we are seeking sponsors too as each awards will be named after them..

This year's competitions will be Book Review competition, Spoken Word contest and Tech Enterprenur Contest.

The Pencrafters and Influencers Network Society (The PINS) and
YINA Conference are related events in Nigeria. The PINS is a group that likely supports literary activities and networking among influencers.

The YINA Conference, on the other hand, is an event focused on empowering and educating senior secondary students to discover their potential.

It is also associated with The Pencrafters Literary Society, which hosts literary festivals[6]. Additionally, there is another event called NKST YINA Annual Conference, which seems unrelated to The PINS and focuses on religious activities.

The Annual YINA Conference comes with different competitions such as creative writing, spoken word and reading competition. However, the upcoming YINA Conference'25 will cover these annual competitions alongside Tech and Enterprenur contests. These new competitions are to give skilled young Nigerian students in the secondary schools an opportunity to showcase their skills and handiwork in technology and production.
