STUDY TEXT: MARK 16:15-17; LIKE 19:9-10; EZEKIEL 36:25-27, LUKE 15:1-10
INTRODUCTORY NOTE: He (Jesus) grow up before Him (God and entire human race) in His days like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or physical Majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire him (Isaiah 53:2). This prophecy of Isaiah is self-explanatory enough.
• But on the Contrary, because of this connection with this father. He was fruitful in Soul-winning, because God was with Him Confirming His words with Signs and wonders (Acts 10:38)
• Even though He (Jesus) had nothing, not even a place to lay His head (Luke 9:58); But as many that receives Him, He gave the power (Legal right) to become a member of God's family (Sons of God), even those that believe in the name. Jn. 1.12
Let’s consider Some of Jesus personal strategy for Soul winning:
1. Visitation Strategy- Luke 19:8; Matt. 25:34-36
• Irrespective of Zacchaeus deepness in sin of greed and Love for Money "After his admission to this Sinful lifestyle, and willingness to turn a new life -the encounter he had with Jesus's visitation changed everything about him - "Today, Salvation is Come to thy household " was Jesus declarative salvation Statement to Zacchaeus.
• In the parable of the Sheep and the Goat, Jesus emphasized on the necessity of visitation ministry when He said “Then the king will say to those at this right hand, “come, you blessed of my father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you -- MH. 25:34-36.
• Visitation is one of the Soul winning strategy that throws open windows of opportunities to lead the Lost back to God. This is one of the Kingdom practices that affects eternal rewards to those who adhere to them.
2. Invitation Strategy - Mtt. 4:18-20 (He Caught the attention of Peter and Andrew)
• Matt. 4:21-22 - He drew James and John to the father's side
• MK 2:14- Matthew the tax collected was converted
• John 1:43 - Philip was called out to Salvation
• John I: 45-46 - Nathaniel was also won to the Lord through the invitation of Philip.
N/B: At least 6 of Jesus' disciples were won by invitation. You can do same today!
3. Strategy of Living a Christ-like-life (Holy Life) MK. 14:55-56. The practical life of Christ brought many to a conviction path, that He is truly the son of God.
• On the cross of Calvary, one of the criminals who was crucified acknowledged the Lordship of Christ, because of His sinless life and was brought to faith. Luke 23:35- 42
• Likewise the case of Stephen –Acts 7:60.
• The truth is that not all unbelievers will believe the gospel we preach, rather through our life and conduct, many will come to faith with Christ. Read -Matt. 5:16 "Let your light shine"
4. Strategy of preaching the Gospel-Luke 4:18; 4:31-32; Matt. 22:23; "MK. 1:22; 11:18; Luke 4 32
• Jesus was Seen in Capernaum preaching
• People Saw Him preached and were overwhelmed. Some Say " is this not the Carpenter's son?"
• In John 7:46 - Some acknowledged "No man ever Spoke like this man In John 4:42; 8:30 - Many believed in Him.
NB: Preaching or teaching God's word by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is still one of the greatest Strategy for Soul-winning. Rom. 10:14, 17.
5. Strategy of Ministering with Spiritual gifts I Cont. 12:8-10; Acts 10:38
• Jesus was full of Spiritual gifts, and by these gifts, He won souls to Himself. John 4:48; Luke 7:17; 4:37; Jr. 7:31; 11:45
• He cast out demons by the Spirit of God- Mtt.12:28
• Ministering with Spiritual Gifts to attract miracles, healings and deliverance, throws the door for Soul winning open - Mtt. 10:8
WHO IS A LOST SOUL? ROM. 10:1-3
• From Biblical perspective -A lost soul is an individual who has strayed from the path of righteousness, separated from God's grace due to the entanglement of Sin and Spiritual waywardness.
THREE WAYS A SOUL CAN BE LOST-MK. 8:35-36
1. You can Starve Your Soul- Mtt. 4:4
• think about the rich Man in Luke I6; see Luke 12:19-20

• There are times when your heart was tender towards The Lord. But the desire for worldly pleasure, took hold of your heart now - See- I Jn. 2:16-17; Judges 16:16.
3. Willful Submission to the power of Sin -Judges 16:16 Rom-6:16, Rom 6:16-18.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES OF SOUL WINNING- I CORINTH. 9:19-27; 10:31-33; 11:1
Paul became all things for All Men -I Corinth 9:22:
