*WHY YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE A RELATIONSHIP ON CAMPUS*

*Relationships! A relationship is the way in which two people are connected or the state of being connected. In this connection, we are referring to “Boyfriendship” and “Girlfriendship”. I want to show you some Reasons why should and shouldn’t have a relationship on campus.*

1. EMOTIONAL STRESS

*Have you ever experienced a broken or failed relationship? Do you remember the trauma and stress it put you through? One of the major reasons you shouldn’t have a relationship on campus is because of the emotional stress it puts you through. Especially when you have a fight with your partner or you break up. Emotional stress can actually make you even fall sick at times. I had a friend whose heart got broken by his girlfriend for 2years. He couldn’t eat for two days and almost collapsed. Funny right? But very true. The amazing part is that there is no drug that can heal emotional stress. You will just keep on being sad and sometimes even cry. This keeps your mind away from more important things you should be thinking about on campus.*

2. FINANCIAL STRESS

*This may not necessarily apply to everyone, but some relationships put you on financial stress. Especially when you have a partner who has ‘longer throat’. “Honey buy me this, honey buy me that”. Most times, you tend to spend even money you do not have just to please your partner. So as a result of this, you become financially stressed and unable to handle other pressing campus responsibilities you have. What do you think?*

3. INSECURITY

*Another reason why you shouldn’t have a relationship on campus is the insecurities it brings along with it, especially when there is no trust. When you’re away from your partner, you are constantly thinking about what they doing, hoping they are not cheating with you or hoping they are not having fun with a different person. These thoughts flood your mind and get you worried, when you’re supposed to have other important things on you

*NIGERIA AND THEIR GRADUATE MENTALITY*

*The title of this write-up might sound absurd, but it remains the fact.* *I have discovered that most Nigerian graduates (even the ones that graduated with a 'pass') rates themselves so high and depends so much on white collar job and when you try to introduce them to little business or jobs,* *they wouldn't hesitate to remind you that they are graduates.. If you are a graduate and so what?* *They don't think of any thing apart from working in a big company with fine office and a company car lol. I think people should stop this mentality of believing that going to the university is to gain employment because its really not it.* *Going to the university should be to broaden your thinking faculty, enhancing your person/personality,* *equipping your mind set and acquiring leadership and entrepreneur skills. Who says a graduate can't be a shoe maker, tailor, vendor, small scale business man/woman, caterer,etc?* *A graduate can do all these because the purpose for your education is to help you add swag* *to whatever*
*you want to do so as to* *differentiate your style and that of an illiterate.*

*A graduate can be selling "moimoi", yes you read it right "moimoi"... Just add a little swag to it and you will see bankers, doctors, engineers, politicians, etc rushing to eat your moimoi... Everything in life is all about packaging, how you package yourself, how you package your business, your relationship, relationplane, relationboat, relationkeke, even relationbarrow, u name it cus all hands are not equal!*

*White collar job is not meant for everybody, so the earlier you get that into your head, the better and faster you get yourself self employed and start making it for real and big. Your going to the university is also to make you an employer of labour. There are lot of people that made it without seeing the four walls of the university, so you that's a graduate should do very much better than them. The truth is, I don't believe t

THE GET RICH QUICK SYNDROME IN NIGERIA

I do not know how people expect to be rich overnight. I have been hearing about the "get rich quick syndrome " which seems to be doing more harm than good to the Nigerian society. Some Nigerian youths are no longer interested in making money the right,legal and honourable way. Some have gone into illegal acts such as armed robbery,political thuggery, kidnapping, Yahoo and Yahoo plus,money ritual etc.

These social vices are not helping the Nigerian society. Some of our youths no longer care about the dignity in labour and why hard work pays all they care about is making money at the expense of others .Money is not bad but it should be made in the right and honourable way.

You cannot be happy making money at the detriment of other people. Yes the government has failed but we the youth should not fail ourselves. I wonder when we became so money conscious that we no longer want to start small and grow big. We now want to blow by all means even if it is illegal. We are so interested in making money that we no longer care who we hurt in this process this is a bad way of reasoning.

The alarming increase in the number of youths engaging in the yahoo business is a clear confirmation of the commitment of young Nigerians to make it at all cost, with every possible means available and unfortunately lacking a ready platform to showcase their creativity and ingenuity.

We went to school with a mindset that once you graduate from school, you get a good job and live your dream life. On graduation, you realize there is no job. Nobody teaches you the skill to survive without a paid job. Young graduates get frustrated not knowing the next step to take in life, them from nowhere a friend pops up with a new car and living a luxurious lifestyle. He teaches you a way to defraud people and make money out of it, he commits himself to teaching you the needed skills, buys you a laptop and mentors you in the yahoo business. He encourages you to work hard and within a short period money starts coming in and you realize that’s the only avenue available to you to actualize your dreams.

What am I trying to say, most of the available platform for lot of young people to acquire skills to get rich unfortunately provided by hoodlums and tricksters. And a lot of young people have the desire to get rich at all cost. Matching that desire with the only available platform to actualize that desire gave birth to what we today refer to us Yahoo Yahoo.

*Today’s youth find it irritating to download and listen to inspirational songs all they have on their music player are inhuman and tasteless musics, videos etc If there is an equilibrium between work and play, then I don’t foresee any problem radically. Is obvious that today’s youth disregard reading, learning and studying with no doubt, it reflects in today’s moral and educational performance.*

*Today’s youth ardor to dress indecent, but the question is, “who are they emulating?” Because have never seen President dressed indecent, have never seen Doctor dressed indecent, have never seen an Accountant dressed indecent, neither have I seen any didactic and educated professional dressed indecent.*

*Fashion has been the order of the day to today’s youth. They prefer to empty their money on designers, bags, clothes shoes etc. What is fashion going to add to your youth season? I am not discouraging fashion neither am I chiding it but “THERE IS TIME FOR EVERYTHING” There are time these fashion will have value and respect, if you put on designers but you can not be brave of your bank account, it is a shameful thing. First as a youth, I charge you to focus on your future, have faith in it and force out for your dream to become reality and when all your labour array, you can dress and put on designers without anybody’s probing you.*

I see the youths of nowadays are just interested in s*x, party and rubbish things, they want short cut to success which is impossible. I implore you all to go out there and hustle, stop wasting your time chasing girls, chase money instead, then once u have made it you can do whatever you like.

Most people keep blaming the government instead of blaming themselves, because in the initial stage you never did anything useful, instead you wasted it partying, drinking and chasing girls.

So guys instead of wasting your time on frivolities find something lucrative doing, their are alot you can learn online, just do research and don't give up.

When you focus on doing only what's easy, you will never get great things done in life, by committing to doing what's hard, you are setting yourself up for greatness.

Nothing worth having or becoming will be easy. If it was easy, everyone will be doing it, if it was easy, everyone would have been great.

To make real progress in life, you must be willing and ready to do what is inconvenient for the greater good.

If all you do with your life is what's easy, your life will be very hard.

I have discovered that the right thing to do is always the hardest to do, but to become all you are destined to be, you must master the art of doing those hard things, because they hold the greatest reward.

So, what are the hard things you've always been putting off? Do something about them today, do it again tomorrow, create systems to ensure continuity.

The more you commit yourself to do them, the easier they become. They become easy not because they are, but your capacity to do them has increased.

How badly you want what you want determines how hard you work to get it.

It is very wrong for a child of God sitting one place doing nothing and asking God to place you in a big position or to give you money while you have not make any step.
