Some people will try something ones and get it right

Others will have to try doing the same thing several times to get it right.

Whichever it is, math requires consistent practice to see improvement.

Aim to have your child practice math daily even if it is just for 30 minutes.

Practice makes perfect.

Me: I am sleeping

Nanny: Chisom your teacher is waiting for you ooo

Me: I said you should tell her I am sleeping.

Few minutes later

Nanny: Chisom your daddy is back ooo?

I will appear in my lesson room, like Nigerian movie 😁😁

I did this to my lesson teacher back then.

And I don't blame my students when they do same to me now.... 😁 😁

Growing up, my sister and I had lesson teachers. From nursery to primary. None in secondary school because we went to a boarding school.

Our grades were not bad but our father just wanted a lesson teacher. Sometimes, all we wanted to do was to watch cartoon network rather than studying.

But I am grateful to my teachers because they contributed to the lady I am now..

The truths no one tells you about an Msc degree.

I started my Msc. Journey in 2016 and since then I had several challenges 😩😩

There were so many tears, frustrations, anxiety just to name a few...

For 1 year I didn't touch my thesis due to depression. I just lost the will to carry-on.

When I finally summoned strength to continue my supervisor turned on her canceling mode.

Everything I wrote she will cancel ❌❌

I even started doubting my abilities and felt like a fraud.

Most days I will ask myself "who sent me?" other days I will question my intelligence.

Last year December, I had to start my thesis all over again because my supervisor said she would give me a "D".

Which is a no for me and it could block my chances of going for a PhD later.

I took up the challenge and started all over again. But was no jokes.

I submitted my new reviewed thesis in March 2021, kept my fingers crossed and prayed against any new corrections.

I couldn't believe my ears when my supervisor said I should go print my work and submit for defense.

Finally, I submitted a signed thesis for defense.

This journey of over 4 years is coming to a good end. Thank God! 🙏🙏

MSc degree 95% complete...

I was not easy but it will end in praise
