THE STRANGER WHO PAID MY ₦300 — PART 4 ❤️

I stood there staring at the number.

“Call me when you get home.”

Hmm.

I wasn't calling anybody. 😂

I put the paper inside my bag and continued walking.

When I got home, I told my big sis about everything.

She listened quietly.

Then she said:

“So… are you calling him?”

I laughed.

“Call who? Ahbeg!”

She started laughing.

“You know you want to.”

“I don't!”

“You do.”

I ignored her.

But later that evening, I kept looking at the number.

I finally decided to send a simple message instead.

“Hi. I got home safely. Thank you for today.”

I dropped my phone.

Less than a minute later, my phone vibrated.

“You're welcome. I just wanted to make sure you got home safely.”

I smiled.

Then another message came.

“And don't worry, I'm not trying to disturb you. I just noticed you always take that same route to IT and you always look stressed. 😂”

I laughed.

“So you noticed me before today?”

He replied:

“Yes. I see you sometimes at the roadside.”

Now I was curious.

“So why did you decide to pay my fare today?”

There was a short pause.

Then he replied:

“Honestly? You looked like someone who needed a little kindness that morning.”

I stared at the message.

It wasn't romantic.

It wasn't some big dramatic gesture.

It was just kindness.

And somehow, that simple ₦300 stayed with me.

Because sometimes we think people need huge things from us.

Money.

Gifts.

Favors.

But sometimes…

a small act of kindness can completely change someone's day.

And yes, before you ask… 😂

I still have his number.

But no, I didn't marry the man. 😂😂

Sometimes a good story is just a good story.

No relationship.

No drama.

Just one stranger helping another person get through an ordinary day.

And honestly?

We need more of that. ❤️

THE STRANGER WHO PAID MY ₦300 — PART 3 😂

I stood there looking at him.

“You were hoping to see me?”

He laughed.

“Yes.”

I didn't know what to say.

So I just smiled awkwardly.

He noticed.

“Relax. I didn't mean anything bad.”

“Okay…”

He pointed at the keke beside him.

“Are you going home?”

“Yes.”

“I can drop you.”

I immediately shook my head.

“No, it's fine. I'll take another keke.”

He nodded.

“No problem.”

I was relieved.

I started looking down the road for another keke.

Then he said:

“By the way, you forgot something this morning.”

I turned around.

“What?”

He brought out a small black object.

I stared at it.

It was my earpiece case.

My eyes widened.

“Ah!”

I quickly checked my bag.

I hadn't even noticed it was missing.

“Where did you find this?”

“You dropped it when you got down this morning.”

I collected it from him.

“Thank you! I didn't even know I had lost it.”

He smiled.

“That's why I was hoping I'd see you again.”

Suddenly, everything made sense.

He hadn't been waiting to ask for my number.

He had been trying to return my earpiece.

I laughed at myself.

All the things I had imagined in my head…

😂😂😂

I thanked him again.

This time, I accepted the keke ride.

As we drove, we talked about ordinary things—work, school, the traffic and how expensive transportation was becoming.

Nothing strange.

Nothing romantic.

Just two people having a normal conversation.

When we got to my stop, I brought out my money.

He waved his hand.

“Keep it.”

I laughed.

“Again?”

He smiled.

“It's okay.”

I thanked him and got down.

As I walked away, I realized something.

Sometimes we are so used to being suspicious of people that we forget that some people are simply kind.

But then…

I checked my earpiece case.

And noticed something.

There was a tiny piece of paper inside it.

I pulled it out.

There was a phone number written on it.

And underneath the number were five words:

“Call me when you get home.”

I stopped walking.

I looked back at the keke.

It was already gone.

👀 NOW WHAT?

Would you call the number?

What would YOU do?

THE STRANGER WHO PAID MY ₦300 — PART 2 ❤️

If you haven't read Part 1, you can check it out first.

So, there I was, standing beside the keke with my ₦300 still in my hand.

The man had already paid the driver.

I looked at him.

“Thank you, but you really didn't have to.”

He smiled.

“I know.”

😂

That answer actually made me laugh.

I thanked him again and started walking toward my IT place.

But something about the whole thing kept bothering me.

Not in a bad way.

I just kept wondering:

Why would someone randomly offer to pay for a stranger?

₦300 may not sound like much.

But these days, when everybody is trying to manage what they have, even ₦300 can matter.

I got to my IT place and started my day.

A few hours later, during break, I was telling one of my colleagues what happened.

She laughed.

“Maybe he liked you.”

I rolled my eyes.

“Ahbeg! 😂”

She insisted.

“Then why would he pay your transport?”

“Maybe he's just being nice.”

She looked at me.

“Are you sure?”

I laughed again.

But honestly, I didn't think much of it after that.

Until I left work.

I got to the roadside and started looking for a keke.

Then I heard someone trying to call my attention.

Heyyy! Heyyy girl! Heyyy small lady!

I turned around.

It was him.

The same man from the morning.

He was standing beside another keke.

I was surprised.

“You?”

He smiled.

“You're going home?”

I nodded.

Then he said something that caught me completely off guard.

“I was actually hoping I'd see you again.”

I stood there for a second.

My colleague's voice suddenly came back into my head.

“Maybe he liked you.” 😂

I didn't know whether to laugh or start running.

Okay, let's be honest. 😂

If you were me and a stranger you met in a keke said:

“I was hoping I'd see you again.”

What would you think?

Drop your answer. 👇

THE STRANGER WHO PAID MY ₦300 — PART 1 😂❤️

I was already running late for IT that morning.

Not very late, but late enough to make me start walking faster than normal. 😂

I quickly got to the roadside and entered a keke.

“Innovative Biotech, after School of Health,” I told the driver.

“₦300.”

“Okay.”

I sat down quietly at the back.

There were other passengers sitting in the back.

I brought out my phone and started checking my messages.

The journey was supposed to take only about 10 minutes.

Nothing dramatic.

Nothing interesting.

Just me going to IT like every other day.

Until the keke suddenly stopped.

I looked up.

The driver had entered a filling station.

I looked at the time.

“Uncle, what's happening?”

“I want to buy fuel.”

I looked at him.

Now? 😭

I was already thinking about how I would explain my lateness if I got to IT after everybody.

Or the punishment of standing for 30 minutes while our IT coordinator is teaching.

The driver parked and went inside to buy fuel.

I sighed and looked at the other passenger sitting close to me.

He was surprisingly calm.

Then he looked at me and smiled.

“Don't worry. We'll soon leave.”

I smiled back.

“I'm just hoping I won't be late.”

He laughed.

“You work around here?”

“Yes. I'm doing my IT around this area.”

We started chatting.

Then something happened that I honestly wasn't expecting.

When the driver came back and started the keke, I reached into my bag for my money.

Before I could bring it out, the man sitting close to me said to me.

“Don't worry.”

I looked at him.

“Don't worry about what?”

He smiled.

“I'll pay your transport.”

I thought he was joking.

“Ah? No, it's okay.”

He shook his head.

“It's just ₦300.”

I laughed.

“That's not the point.”

He smiled again.

“Just keep your money.”

I didn't know whether to accept it or insist on paying.

But then the keke stopped at my destination.

I was still holding my ₦300 in my hand.

And the man was already reaching for his wallet.

I got down…

still wondering why a complete stranger had just offered to pay my transport.

But I had no idea that his small act of kindness would make me think about something for the rest of the day.

Would you collect the ₦300 if you were me? 😂

What would you do?

People think Chemistry Techniques in SLT is just about carrying test tubes around until they enter the laboratory 😭🧪

Chemistry Techniques is one of the most practical and skill-demanding areas in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT).

As students specializing in Chemistry Techniques, we learn how to:

⚗️ Prepare chemical solutions accurately
🧪 Carry out titration experiments
🔬 Analyze chemical substances
📊 Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
🧫 Handle laboratory apparatus properly
☣️ Follow laboratory safety procedures
🧼 Prevent contamination during experiments

We also work with laboratory equipment like:
✔️ Burettes
✔️ Pipettes
✔️ Conical flasks
✔️ Beakers
✔️ Weighing balances
✔️ pH meters
✔️ Spectrophotometers

One small mistake in measurement can completely affect your result 😭

This specialization teaches:
🧠 Accuracy
⏳ Patience
📍Attention to detail
💡 Critical thinking

Most people only see the white lab coat, but they don’t see the long practical hours, calculations, failed experiments, and stress behind getting accurate results.

Chemistry Techniques is not just theory — it is hands-on science.

To every SLT Chemistry Techniques student:
I see your effort. Keep going. The lab pressure will someday become professional experience 💙🔬
