There are seasons you must shut your eyes. Not out of pride, but out of discipline. You cannot move forward while listening to every voice.

If you don’t filter them, you will lose your path. Guard your focus. Not everyone close to you deserves influence over your direction.

Know when to walk away. A lot of people in relationships are managing too much rubbish in the name of hope. If it's already like this, how will it be when you finally marry? Are you not setting yourself up for permanent sorrow? What's the foundation of the hope that he/she will change? You are thinking of the years and resources you have put in right? Cut your losses and save your future.

Think of the elephant. Its gestation lasts 22 months—almost two full years—before the calf is even born. And that’s just the beginning.

The mother raises it slowly, teaching it, protecting it, letting it grow strong before it can stand on its own. Life works the same way with us. Your growth, your breakthroughs, your “harvest” doesn’t happen overnight.

The hard days, the waiting, the struggle—they are all part of the long preparation. You can’t rush it. Stay steady. When the season comes, you’ll be ready, and the reward will match the wait.

The Title Trap
Sometimes, big titles are a trap.
People call you by impressive titles and assume those titles come with money, comfort, and privilege. In reality, many of them are just labels. Empty labels.

Society respects you because of the title, and over time you begin to settle into that respect, even when you are silently struggling. The title does not match the financial status society expects from you, but no one wants to hear that part.

They call you Honorable, Professor, Doctor, and assume you have plenty of money. Based on that assumption, they bill you, depend on you, and make demands. You are expected to live up to an image you did not create.

Sometimes, just to meet those expectations, you go the extra mile and make costly choices. While they smile and applaud your title, you live quietly inside a trap.

Titles can earn respect, but they do not automatically pay bills. That truth is rarely acknowledged, yet it is the reality for many.

Some people may not always smile at you, but they genuinely love you. They will stand up for you when you are not there, protect your name, and position you for growth and excellence. They work quietly to make your life better.
Others will never oppose you to your face. They smile, praise you, and say all the right things, yet in your absence they undermine you and work against you.

Do not confuse smiling faces with love.

As you look at 2026, Value people who oppose you when you should be opposed, people who correct you, and contribute actively to your growth.

The heart is deep.

Some people thrive on controversy — it stirs something in them, makes them feel alive. And they will go to great lengths to draw you into their webs of argument.

Do not hand them the thread.
Do not enter the maze.

Walk past. Keep your peace.
Protect your energy.

Pick up the task. Do something. No matter how small. Don't outsource your part to others. Everyone has a frog to swallow. Swallow yours.

You may be afraid, do it afraid. You may be tired, do it tired. By all means, ensure you are not wasting your time and life while you wait for others to look your way. The Lord Jesus worked, God the father worked. You must work.
