When I decided I was going to be a psychologist (that was the word in my head), I wasn't sure where to start. The closest courses I had taken were Educational Psychology courses yet I wanted to help people recover from abuse and addictions.

Between 2016 -2021, you can say I found my way by failing forward. I went from reading to seminars, to applying for short courses and finding my path as a s*x therapist. Oh! I forgot to add that I burned out and didn't know how to put a boundary between work and personal life or the emotions that came with both.

Some will say it was easy for me because I had experience being on the receiving end of some of these issues. Yeah, experience helped but it also made me weak and vulnerable. A senior psychologist almost took s*xual advantage of me as he explained some complex thing that made sense. I literally laid on the bare floor that night shivering and telling myself how that will never happen to me or to any upcoming healer I knew.

You don't have to stumble through like a blind person. You don't have to be taken advantage of. The world doesn't have 3-5years to wait for you to discover the path when guardians are available.
