As we come to the close of our first term and 2025 at New Era International School, my heart is filled with gratitude.
Thank you to our wonderful students, supportive parents, and our dedicated administrative team, teachers, and staff for making this term meaningful and successful. Your commitment, love, and partnership continue to strengthen our school community.
My recent visit to the school was deeply special to me. Spending time with our students and staff always fills my heart with joy, and as always, the hardest part for me is having to leave. New Era is more than a school — it is family.
This term, our students also visited the Sholom Community Orphanage Home as part of our yearly pledge to reach out and support orphanages. This tradition reflects the vision and wishes of my mother, our beloved founder, the late Chief Mrs. O. E. Ekpe. Through this act of service, our students are learning kindness, compassion, empathy, gratitude, leadership, and the true reward of giving back — values that will shape them not only academically, but as responsible and caring individuals.
I will be sharing pictures from my time with the students, our visit to the orphanage, and our end-of-term activities, so we can relive these beautiful moments together.
Thank you all for an unforgettable first term. I wish everyone a peaceful and refreshing holiday, and I look forward to an even greater term ahead in 2026.

Today was Children’s Day in Nigeria, and New Era International Schools proudly participated in the celebration held at the stadium in Eket.

Yesterday, The students of New Era International Schools, Eket visited the Band of Hope Orphanage Home in Eket. The purpose of this visit was to honor the legacy of my mom, the founder of New Era International Schools, Eket, Chief Mrs. O.E. Ekpe, whose vision has always been to instill values of compassion, empathy, and service to the community.
By visiting the orphanage, our students had the opportunity to learn about kindness, generosity, and the importance of giving back to the community.
It was truly a heartwarming and educational experience for our students. They were inspired by the dedication and love shown to them by the children at the orphanage. This experience has deepened their understanding of social responsibility and fostered a spirit of community support that will stay with them for years.
I also sincerely thank our administrative team and teachers who accompanied our students on this meaningful visit.
