We are meant to carry the Power of the Holy Spirit, not just speak in tongues because tongues are only one of the signs of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

What happens when a man derails from the path God has set for him?
The drama unit presented a powerful play on the reality of many believers; returning to the path God has set for us.

For surely there is an end; And thine expectation shall not be cut off.

We have gathered to receive the power as of old and our expectations are being met.

Power as of Old (Part 1)
Text: 2 Kings 2:9-14
Ministering: Pastor Ayobami Oladapo

• God wants to take us back to the power as of old. The power as of old is God's power that is the same yesterday, today and forever the same.
• This power is the power of the Unchanging God. Power is an identity and not an event. Exodus 15:11, Acts 4:33. It is the power of undiluted Gospel, the power that scares demons away.
• What validates God's presence in the life of a believer is the power of God.

Biblical Examples of the Power as of Old:
• God demonstrated this power through Moses. Moses was intimate with God, God spoke to him face to face and mouth to mouth.
• God demonstrated the power as of old through Elijah, he was able to bring solutions to difficulties
• The Early Church. The apostles did not have money but they had power. When you have power, money follows.

Why Does the Church Need the Power as of Old?

• Because we confront spiritual wickedness.
• Intellectual Christianity cannot cast out demons, we need the power as of old as a backup.
• Positive change can be made possible through power.
• Morality alone cannot sustain holiness.

What Hinders the Flow of Power in our Lives?
• Worldliness
• Sin and compromise
• Prayerlessness has multiplied
Pride and selfishness
• Unbelief
•Disunity and offense (whenever there is unity, there will be natural progress and power in the church)

How do we Restore the Power as of Old?
• Brokenness and repentance
• Consecration by separating yourself from sin and defilement
• Prayer and fasting. Accumulated power is gotten through consistent devotion and consecration

Day 2 Morning Session
Ministering: Pastor Sanmi Oyedeji
Text: Mark 16:7-20

•Authority is the power that resides in someone by virtue of who a person is or what he has become.
• God has given us power over serpents and scorpions.
•Manifestation of the apostle's authority produces faith that results in salvation. The Bible also promises that healing virtue will flow through you and you will heal the sick
•The apostolic authority is for every believer. Acts 2:9
•Apostolic authority is not just about tongues but about what the tongues can do
•The first thing the apostles did was to go out and win souls, they kept increasing. The apostles also had boldness to speak

How to Walk in Apostolic Authority
• Genuine repentance
• Thirst and hunger for it John 7:37-39
• Pray for it Matthew 7:7-8

How to Maintain the Apostolic Authority
• It is more difficult to maintain apostolic authority than to enter into it
• Fellowship with the Holy Spirit daily
• Fellowship with other spirit-filled believers
