Jigawa AGILE Project under Component 2.3 organised a one-day planning meeting in preparation for the upcoming CCT sensitization program, held on Tuesday, 8th July 2025, at 9:00 AM
• Venue: Executive Theatre hall, Manpower Development Institute.
The purpose of the meeting was to engage all stakeholders in planning and aligning strategies to ensure effective coordination and successful implementation of the sensitization activities across all 10 Zonal Offices in the State.

7 Days Training Workshop For SBMCs on the Development of SIP and SIG Utilisation and Management Under the auspice of Jigawa state AGILE project at Manpower Development institute Dutse.
In a continuation of the workshop for the School based management committee for the schools improvement plan and School improvement grant, on this day of Wednesday 8th January 2025, the mode of session for discussion /activities focus on school improvement grant Utilisation and Management, money management, general monitoring activities and overview of Environmental and management issues. The discussion /activities presented and Facilitated by facilitators and coordinated by coordinators as organised by Mushabbeel Global services Limited.
The latent of training focuses on proper deliberation, brainstorming on contemporary issues relating to planning, managing and monitoring of all SBMCs activities for sustainable development of schools at their domain .
Technical adviser to the Jigawa State Governor on Higher Education Science and technology, Dr Abdullahi Dogo Abubakar had overseeing and blessed the training where he expressed his appreciation for the conduct of the training.

Jigawa SPIU team led by the Hon. Commissioner of Information youth sports and culture Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed paid an advocacy visit to His Highness, the emir of Kazaure Alhaji Dr Najib Hussaini Adamu CON, soliciting his support towards achieving AGILE projects objectives on girls education in the state.
The response of the emir was highly impressed and commendable.

JIGAWA AGILE CONDUCTS MASTER TRAINING OF THE TRAINERS ON GRIEVANCES REDRESS MECHANISM GRM IN SCHOOLS.

Jigawa State project implementation unit SPIU team of the AGILE project has organised a one day training of the master trainers on the grievances readiness mechanism with a view to step down the training to their colleagues in their respective schools.

While declaring the training open on behalf of the commissioner of higher education science and technology, the permanent secretary ministry of higher education Malam Lawan Muhammad Haruna described the training as timely , saying that it would ensure safety in provide a conducive atmosphere of teaching and learning in schools.

He therefore appealed to the participants to transmit what they would learn when they went back to their respective schools.

Adding that, with the intervention of Agile projects , more schools will be constructed and renovated, and above all, out of school adolescent girls will be back to school .

He commended the efforts of the AGILE SPIU team for their dedication and assured that the state government will make everything possible to ensure effective implementation of Agile projects in the state.

In his speech, Mr Emmannuel Erinms GRM Officer from the National Project Implementation unit NPCU -AGILE Abuja who came to jigawa for training the SPIU team and gender officers on GRM, gave an overview of the Agile project , saying that, the project is aimed at ensuring more adolescent girls are enrolled to school, stay and completed secondary school.

He said, in order to achieve the desired objectives, the project came up with a strategies that provides opportunities for adolescent girls to acquire critical life skills that will empower them to be enrolled stay and complete their schoolings successfully.

He further highlighted the three project components, which include creating safe and accessible learning spaces, fostering an enabling environment for girls and project management, and system strengthening for effective implementation of Agile projects in the state.
Mr Emmanuel stressed the need for active sensitisation and advocacy to the traditional and religious leaders considering their roles in their communities towards ensuring girls' children are back to school .

He called on the participants to make good use of what they have learnt by stepping down to colleagues in their schools.
In his speech, the state project coordinator Alhaji Babawuro Fate thanked the NPCU Mr Emmanuel for sparing his time to be in jigawa for training the State project Implementation unit SPIU team and master trainers on Grievance Readiness Mechanism GRM .

Alhaji Babawuro Fate assured the NPCU that the participants will do their best to ensure the training is being stepped down to school management accordingly.

Adding that, the SPIU team has provided enough suggestion boxes that will be placed at all schools for recieving advices,observations or complaints from the community on any grievances that might arise in schools for immediate resolve

Assuring that the SPIU will ensure that every grievance that might arise will strategically be overcome or resolve within a possible short time.
At the end of the training, participants raised some observations and questions, which were positively addressed and answered by Mr Erinms Emmanuel.
