On Sunday, 27th July 2025, the National Association of Dukku Students, Gombe State University Chapter (N**S-GSU) successfully held its orientation program for newly admitted students of the 2024/2025 academic session. The event took place at the English Theatre, GSU Campus, and commenced by 9:00 PM as scheduled.
The orientation aimed at welcoming freshers into the university environment, introducing them to student life, academic expectations, campus culture, and, most importantly, the values and objectives of N**S-GSU as a supportive student community for Dukku indigenes.
Despite the evening rain, the event recorded a massive turnout of students, invited guests, and stakeholders, showing the unity and resilience of the association. A notable highlight of the event was the presence of our dear brothers and sisters from FCE(T) Gombe, who honored the invitation and showed great solidarity. Their attendance added value and meaning to the gathering.
Several key speakers addressed the students, including past and present leaders of the association, as well as respected members of the university community. Their words of encouragement, advice, and motivation were warmly received by the freshers.
The N**S-GSU President, in his remarks delivered through the PRO, expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the event, reiterating the association’s commitment to student development, unity, and academic excellence.
The event ended with a renewed sense of purpose among members and a warm welcome extended to all fresh students as they begin their journey in Gombe State University.
