FOUR WAYS TO LIVE ABOVE SIN.

Last time, we looked at ‘the danger of sin-consciousness’ and how sin-consciousness kills one spiritual life easily without their knowledge.

Let's look at the extension of the subject in what I titled:

“Four Ways to Live above Sin”

Sin in itself was completely destroyed by Jesus Christ. In other Word, the Christian-believer should not be fighting against sin, because it was beautifully destroyed by the finished work of Christ. But then, it's funny how we are still trying to live above sin.

But then Christ's destruction of sin does not mean, christians are not struggling with addictions. But the level of the knowledge of God's Word you, determines the level by which you lives above sin.

1 KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE IN CHRIST.

You must know as a christian that: the life you are living is the life of God, in the faith of Jesus Christ (Gal.2:20). With this knowledge you'll automatically cease to struggle to please God.

2. HEAR THE WORD.

The scripture says “without faith no man can please God…” so, you asked ‘what can I do keep pleasing God?’ the answer is faith. And faith is more develop by hearing the Word of God (Rom.10:17). It is the hearing of the Word of God that produces faith — and faith is the force that pleases God without struggle.

3. HIDE THE WORD IN YOUR HEART (SPIRIT).

The Word of God didn't say “become so conscious of sin, that you might not sin against God.”

What did David said “Thy word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against thee” (Ps.119:11). If you must live above sin, the solution is becoming more conscious of God's Word, by hiding it in your heart (spirit). When the Word is hidden in your heart sin is not an option.
The spirit storage of the Word is a refusal to sin. And by hiding the Word, I meant to receive it with faith — don't always see effort to not to sin. Just hide the Word (truth) in your heart.

4. MEDITATE ON THE WORD.

The speaking of the Word that's hidden in your heart is another step of living above sin. Meditation helps you to do according to what's hidden in your heart. What did God told Joshua?

This book of the law shall not depart out thy mouth, but that shall meditate…so that you may observe and do according all that is written in it (Joshua 1:8), (paraphrased the scripture).

The speaking of the Word of God places you above the conditioning of the devil. Because, by speaking you are observing, so you can do according to all that's written in the Word without struggle. Meditate on the Word gives you directions on how to apply the Word in your daily life. It perfectly opens a way for you to observe how you can apply the Word in a very simple way.

Before all of these can happen, you must be helped by the Holy Spirit. He is your ultimate helper. He brings you the Word, teaches you the Word, and helps you to keep and do the Word of God. Acknowledge all the time. He is the master builder living in you.

Friendship is a gift, and some friendship is like a magnet. But sadly, some of my gender don't want to know and define when an opposite gender is walking with them from the state of love, and not for "let's go deeper than this" mentality.

I can boldy say this: the most sweetest friend to have and walk with is an opposite gender, because your secrets will ever remain secrets in their hands.

There are two girls in my life who are struggling who will give a toast on my wedding day, lol.😆 This is because, our friendship have grown from people were knew each other in school, to something that become a platform for sharing ideas, learning, and praying together.

Touching me, is like touching the better futures of these girls..., like they would come after you o.😂

But unfortunately, some friends have called "woman" and "immature" because I refuse to take advantage of this friendship.

Guess what? Me, dey stand like tower for Jesus unapologetically.

If Jesus can't be glorify in our friendship, then we have failed heavens, set on fire the people God gave us, and the gospel committed to our trust.

Not every friendship is for "I see us living together as couple" ------ some are for fulfilling divine purpose, (not marriage).

THE DANGER OF SIN-CONSCIOUSNESS.

A lot of times it baffled me seeing christians trying to get over from one addiction or the other — like struggling to live above sin. And the cause of this is sin-consciousness. You don't act opposite of what your spirit and mind have accepted into them. And there's danger in living in the consciousness of sin.

In fact Pastor Chris Oyakhilome said “sin-consciousness is more dangerous than sin” — and that's very true. It's the highest form of ignorance and mediocrity to give the Word of God a meaning from human experience. Because, to the flesh the Word is foolishness! Why then try to interpret the scripture from human experience?

WHAT IS SIN-CONSCIOUSNESS?

Before going further than this, let's lay a strong foundation of what sin-consciousness is pondering ability on sin, a life of not wanting to sin.

Sin-consciousness is an elevation of sin. Like one who is always careful of not sinning against God. Sin-consciousness elevates sin above the Word of God.

Instead of becoming conscious of not sinning, one should be conscious of the Word of God. Because, the consciousness of God's Word places one above sin.

Sin elevation is a confirmation that Christ's sacrifice is of non effect. When one is conscious of not sinning, the character and charisma of such a person becomes the lord of his life.

Sin-Consciousness:

1 Makes you feels intimidated of yourself even when acting rightly.

Haven't you seen a situation where one can't shout at somebody that is harassing him/her because the person is afraid of sinning. Christianity is a call into power and authority. Don't let your mind limits you and allow men take advantage of you.

For the fact that you are a christian is not room for the devil to keep you in check.

Love! That's our whole duty as God's elects — but don't confuse love to fears.

2. It hides the Christ in you.
Being conscious of sin completely hides the wonderful power of the Holy Spirit in you. I have seen several christians who can't contribute on a meeting because they are known in that place to be so quiet, avoiding sin.

3. It makes you to sin easily without your knowledge.

Infact, I do tell people ‘if you want to be easily sinning, become so conscious of sin’ and that's the reality.
What you are careful of saying in the name of ‘I might sin by saying this’ in your heart can/may the right words they're looking for. And by not saying a word, is automatically translating to sin.

Sin-consciousness is more dangerous than sin itself.

Quit trying not to sin and live in the reality of God's Word concerning you.

It's crazy how people believes that Christianity is a man's culture created by man.
There's no religion in the world, that is not protecting the image of "man" but Christianity is opposite. Because, it divinely point us to one person, Jesus Christ. But religious practices are protecting the interest of man.

The scripture is God's breath, written by men. How wicked can man be towards himself, if Christianity is man's culture.

Introduction (1).

I will first give a general background of what creativity is — the word “creativity” is the driving machine of this series. So, it will be much better to know what it means from its three different dictionary meanings.

Creativity is the ability to create or bring into existence something new or original.
— Oxford English Dictionary.

Creativity means the ability to think of new ideas or create new things.
— Longman Dictionary of Contemporary.

Creativity is the ability to produce or use original and unusual ideas.
— Cambridge Dictionary.

Having known three different dictionary meanings of creativity, we can now proceed to interconnect these words of the dictionary.

There's a repeated word I want you to take notice of in the three dictionary definition of creativity which is “ability” — that's to let you know that creativity has a source. Because, “ability” is not like a right to something that one may have.

Therefore, this takes me to defining creativity according me.
In my view point of defining creativity — 'is the ability to create, invent, or bring into existence something by an extraterrestrial source or power.'

This is because, before one can be creative or develop an idea or concept about something, there must be a power or ability surrounding the logical reasoning of the person. This is the reason I so much believe that every knowledge has a source — a source that is beyond the human realm.

Standing for purity and uprightness will paint one a "bad, ignorant, self-righteous" or "sickly" person. But we must not go back to Babylon and bow to Baal, because the folks of his territory doesn't want to believe the message we preach and teach.

The scripture made it very clear. The gospel to us, is the power of God, but to them is foolishness. So, let's keep spreading the power of God unapologetically.

Remember what happened to Joseph, I mean how he was wrongly accused by Potiphar's wife for standing for purity. I will not sleep with you because you are my master's wife, and if I dare try it, I will sin against God. Gbam! The woman became furious against him, but from the pit he was made the head.

In this kingdom, we don't look for men's validation or applause. We are defending the undiluted gospel of Jesus Christ, with our hearts low and our heads high!

I stand strongly for purity. Let them say all they can ----- they have found their callings, and this is ours as well. No one can talk us out of it.
