TVET TRAINING TO START IN AUGUST (MONTH 8)

The program was officially launched on 31st May 2025.

This announcement was made by Mr. Idris Bugaje, the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). He made this statement during his visit to the Katsina Youth Craft Village (KYCV).

Mr. Bugaje stated that the training is divided into three categories:

1. Master 12 (1 Year)

2. Master 6 (6 Months)

3. Technical College Track (3 Years for youth aged 13 to 20)

Under the Master 6 training track, each participant will receive:

270,000 tuition support

45,000 monthly stipend for the duration of 6 months

A certificate and startup capital upon completion of the training

The training will commence in August and will be conducted across all Federal and State Government Training Centers, as well as in some private training centers.

The Federal Government TVET Program 2025 is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training initiative designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship. Here's what you need to know:

PROGRAM BENEFITS:
- FULLY FUNDED TRAINING: Tuition fees are covered by the Federal Government through NELFund
- MONTHLY STIPENDS: Participants receive ₦45,000 monthly
- HANDS-ON TRAINING: Practical skills development in high-demand sectors
- COMPLETION CERTIFICATES: Nationwide recognition by employers
- TAKEOFF GRANTS: Start-up support for selected trades
- CAREER GUIDANCE & JOB PLACEMENT: Assistance with finding employment

ELIGIBILITY:
- Short-Term Certificate (STC) Programme (6 months):
- Valid National Identification Number (NIN)
- Valid Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- No prior educational qualification required
- Vocational Education & Innovation (VEI) Programme (1 year):
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or proof of skills acquired informally
- First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) or equivalent

APPLICATION PROCESS:
1. Ensure eligibility based on the program requirements

3. Choose your preferred program (STC or VEI) and fill in your details
4. Upload supporting documents, including NIN, BVN, and formal education certificates
5. Select your preferred training center and trade
6. Submit your application and wait for confirmation
