Nigerian Navy Primary School commemorates World Teachers Day 2025.
World theme: "Recasting Teaching as a Collaborative Profession".
Cross River State theme: "The Teachers We Need for the Education We Want".
SPEAKER: Prof. Jamah Nabo, Provost College of Education, University of Calabar.
In his lecture, Prof. Nabo stated that education is the key that unlocks the doors of opportunities, but the hands that hold this key are teachers. The quality of education pupils receive depends on the caliber of teachers available.
Regarding the collaborative aspect of teaching, Prof. Nabo emphasized that 21st-century teaching requires extensive collaboration to become a better teacher. Education today necessitates teamwork rather than isolation. When teachers share ideas, plan lessons together, and learn from one another, they create a stronger, more enjoyable learning environment.
The occasion was graced with the presence of Acting Head Teacher Sub Lt. A.U Momodu, PTA Chairman Dr. Valentine Ntui, Vice Head Teachers (VHT), personnel, Staff and other dignitaries.
