Government Girls' Secondary School Finima - UBE, Bonny

School academic academic activities is scheduled to resume on 10th of January 2021 for the second term of 2021/2022 academic session

GGSSF (UBE) was bubbling with activities on 16th Dec, 2021 as the school held her first ever OPEN DAY event. Highlights of the occasion was cultural dance, march past, public exhibition. The event was graced by well respected dignitaries from far and wide. Representative of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) was on ground to cover the event. The S.D bonny LGEA, Mr Green, heaped praises on the principal, staff and students for the wonderful work done since the Covid-19 era especially the implementation of skill acquisition into the school curriculum.

GGSSF (UBE) OPEN DAY Event

Ibanise Hall was on Friday 10th Oct. 2019, brimmed with glee as Finima Nature Park celebrated its 20th Anniversary, themed "Celebrating 20 years of conserving nature's heritage". Established in 1999 by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited with the aim of conserving nature and biodiversity in Bonny Island, the nature park covers a land mass of approximately 1000 ha (3.9 sq mi) and is home to a variety of animal and plant species.
The event was attended by the HSE Manager (Nigeria LNG), Mr. Akpabio; The Head of Environmental Affairs, Dr. Chidi Ikocha; The founding Manager, Environmental Affairs, Mr. Adeniran, and host of other dignitaries. Several schools were also in attendance, including Government Girls' Secondary School Finima (UBE), represented by the school's conservation club members.

In line with the free education policy implemented by the Rivers State Government, Admission into J.S.S 1, J.S.S 2 and J.S.S 3 is now in progress and it's free of charge. Parents are advised to take advantage of this opportunity to register their girl child in order to acquire sound academic and moral tutelage for the betterment of their future.
