Allow Your Children to Mature!!!
We have observed situations where some parents put undue pressure on school authorities as regards to double or triple promotion of their wards.
Even when such pupils/students are of average standards in terms of academic performance.
This can not be in the best interest on your children.
As a school, there should be no objection with pupils who desire to take Common Entrance from Primary 5.
But schools should totally oppose admitting students into JS 1 from Primary 4.
Schools should also totally oppose pupils moving from Primary 6 to JS 2. By skipping JS1.
Parents should understand that schools have standards to keep and maintain. You should also understand that your children need a sound educational foundation.
Let us also understand that skipping of classes is totally against government policy.
Your children need some level of maturity as they move along their educational level.
Allow and encourage them.
