Another milestone achieved! š
Today, the Adamawa State Students' Union (ADASSU), ATBU Chapter, under the leadership of Comr. Densley Memena successfully held its General Congress, where members received updates on the Adamawa State Scholarship and officially approved the Maiden ADASSU Cultural Day.

The event promises an exciting blend of cultural dances, traditional dishes, pageantry, exhibitions, a unity symposium, entertainment, and lots more. Members have also been grouped into the three Senatorial DistrictsāAdamawa North, Central, and Southāto coordinate their cultural presentations.
This is more than a celebration of culture; it is a celebration of our identity, diversity, and unity as Adamawa students.
A heartfelt appreciation to every member who attended today's Congress. We look forward to seeing everyone on 30th August as we make history together.

A CLARION CALL FOR THE CREATION OF THE OFFICE OF SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE GOVERNOR ON STUDENTSā MATTERS (OUTSIDE THE STATE)
His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri
Executive Governor of Adamawa State
Your Excellency,
We, Adamawa State students studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria, sincerely appreciate your administrationās commitment to education, youth empowerment, and human capital development. Your numerous interventions in the education sector have positively impacted students both within and outside the state.
In view of this, we respectfully appeal for the creation of the Office of Special Assistant to the Governor on Studentsā Matters (Outside the State). We believe this office will provide a vital link between the government and Adamawa students studying across the country, ensuring effective representation and engagement.
Following consultations among student leaders and stakeholders, there is widespread support for Comrade Tunga Christian George Kushi, the current NUADSS South-South Zonal President, as a suitable candidate should the office be established, owing to his proven leadership and commitment to student welfare.

Yesterday, 22nd March 2026, the Adamawa State Studentsā Union recorded yet another milestone with the successful hosting of the Freshersā Welcoming/ Adamawa Day Ceremony.
The event brought together members from various faculties and campuses, showcasing the strength of our unity and proudly celebrating the rich heritage of our dear state. It was indeed a moment of bonding, connection, and shared identity.
As part of the activities, the CTC Chairman emphasized the importance of unity among members and encouraged everyone to actively reach out to others, fostering inclusiveness and strengthening the spirit of togetherness that defines our Union.
Furthermore, yesterdayās gathering officially marked the final meeting of the Adamawa State Studentsā Union for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.
The leadership sincerely appreciate every member of the Adamawa State Studentsā Union for your presence, commitment, and active contributions towards the success of the Freshersā Welcoming/ Adamawa Day Ceremony. We do not take this for granted, and we encourage us all to continue building on this spirit of togetherness as we move forward.

The Union has been mandated to submit a comprehensive list of ATBU students, *especially those in 100ā300 Level.* This list will contain studentsā bio-data and bank details for the purpose of scholarship disbursement.
Submission Period:

Students are required to submit the following documents:

School Fees Payment Receipt
Name & Registration Number
NIN
Indigene Letter
Bank Details (Account Name, Account Number & BVN)
*Important Notice:*
Students in 400 and 500 Level who had issues and did not benefit from the previous scholarship are also encouraged to submit their details for screening.
Please note that some previous submissions were affected due to mistyped information and the use of online banks such as Moniepoint, OPay, Kuda, etc.
Students are strongly advised to provide details of a Commercial Bank Account only.
