210TH REGULAR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING OF ATAPOLY RECOMMENDED FOR THE PROMOTION OF 50 STAFF, AMONG OTHERS.

The Management of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, at its 210th Regular Management Committee Meeting held on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th February, 2026, chaired by the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Hashim Sabo Bello ( 1st Sarkin Dinawan Dass) considered and recommended for the approval of a number of key administrative and policy matters.

At the meeting, the Management committee recommended for the promotion of *fifty (50) staff, comprising twenty-seven (27) Academic staff and twenty-three (23) Non-Teaching staff, having satisfied the relevant promotion requirements in line with the condition of service of the Polytechnic.

The Management also considered and recommended for the lateral conversion of two (2) staff from Executive Cadre to the Registrar Cadre, in line with existing regulations and institutional needs.

Furthermore, the Committee approved the review of the Polytechnic’s medical examination fee, with an upward adjustment from One Thousand Naira (₦1,000) to Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000).

In addition, disciplinary actions were taken against nine (9) staff of the Polytechnic, following due consideration of reports presented before Management.

The meeting also considered and recommended for the domestication and adoption of the Federal Polytechnics (Amendment) Act, 2019, for full implementation within the Polytechnic.

All recommendations are to be presented before the Council, for final approval and ratification.

In his closing remarks, the Rector thanked members of the committee for their very best dedication, contributions and commitment shown for the development of the Polytechnic, and maintaining conducive working environment.

ATAPOLY HOLDS 151st ACADEMIC BOARD MEETING, APPROVES NEW PROGRAMMES AND KEY INSTITUTIONAL DOCUMENTS.

The Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAPOLY) Bauchi, on Tuesday 23rd December 2025, held its 151st Academic Board Meeting which was presided over by the Rector, Dr. Hashim Sabo Bello.

At the meeting, the Academic Board approved the mounting of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Welding and Fabrication under the School of Engineering Technology, in line with the Polytechnic’s commitment to expanding technical and skills-based programmes.

The Board also approved the mounting of six National Diploma (ND) programmes and one HND programme in the School of Science and Technology, as well as three ND programmes and one HND programme in the School of Management Studies, aimed at strengthening academic offerings and meeting manpower needs.

Furthermore, the Academic Board formally approved the ATAPOLY Anthem, alongside the 2025/2026 Academic Calendar, to guide academic activities for the upcoming session.

The approvals reaffirm the Polytechnic’s resolve to promote academic excellence, institutional growth, and effective academic planning.

ATAPOLY GETS OFFICIAL ANTHEM.

Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAPOLY), Bauchi, has officially unveiled its institutional anthem today, 23th December 2925 at its 151 Academic Board Meeting, marking a significant milestone in the Polytechnic’s history.

The anthem is designed to promote unity, inspire academic excellence, and reinforce the core values and vision of the institution.

The adoption of the anthem reflects the commitment of the Management to strengthening the Polytechnic’s identity and fostering a strong sense of pride, discipline, and loyalty among staff and students. The anthem will henceforth be rendered at major official ceremonies and institutional events of the Polytechnic.

This development is expected to further enhance the corporate image and cultural heritage of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi.

Kudos to the Deputy Rector who composed the anthem, as her legacy to the polytechnic.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSOCIATION OF NATIONAL ACCOUNTANTS OF NIGERIA (ANAN) VISITED ABUBAKAR TATARI ALI POLYTECHNIC BAUCHI.

The Rector of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, Dr. Hashim Sabo Bello today Monday 13th October, 2025, alongside his deputy Hajiya Alawiyyatu Aliyu Musa, Registrar of the Polytechnic Mallam Lawal Sambo, the Bursar Hussaini Ali Dangambu, Librarian Mal. Abdullahi Dewa and the other Management staff, received in audience the President of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Chief (Hajia) Zuwaira Talatu Kishimi, FCNA, and her entourage in his office.

The visit formed part of ANAN’s engagement with the institutions aimed at strengthening collaboration in accounting education, promoting professional development, and enhancing ethical financial management practices in the institution and across the country.

In his welcome remarks, the Rector, Dr. Hashim Sabo Bello ChMC, FCIMC, MNIM, (Sarkin Dinawan Dass) expressed his profound appreciation to the ANAN President and her delegation for finding time to visit the Polytechnic. He lauded ANAN’s remarkable contributions to the advancement of accounting education and professional standards in Nigeria. The Rector further reiterated the institution’s readiness to deepen its partnership with ANAN in areas of staff training, student mentorship, and professional certification.

In her response, the ANAN President, Chief (Hajia) Zuwaira Talatu Kishimi, FCNA, appreciated the warm reception accorded to her and her team by the Polytechnic management. She commended the Rector for his exemplary leadership and the impressive progress achieved by the institution in academic and infrastructural development. She assured the Polytechnic of ANAN’s continuous collaboration and support in fostering professionalism and accountability among accounting practitioners and students.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of a souvenir of appreciation to the Rector by the ANAN.

DR. HASHIM SABO BELLO, FELICITATE NIGERIA AT 65TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff, and Students of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi, I extend warm felicitations to His Excellency, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya), the Government and good people of Bauchi State, and to all Nigerians on the occasion of the 65th Independence Anniversary of our dear country, Nigeria.

This day is a significant milestone in our collective journey as a nation. It reminds us of the sacrifices of our heroes past, who laboured for the freedom, unity, and sovereignty we enjoy today. It also calls us to reflect deeply on our responsibilities as citizens and institutions in building a Nigeria that truly lives up to the dreams of its founding fathers.

As a Polytechnic, we remain committed to contributing to national development through the training of skilled manpower, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and discipline among our students. THE RECTOR OF ABUBAKAR TATARI ALI POLYTECHNIC BAUCHI FLAG-OFF LAND COMPENSATION DISBURSEMENT.

Today, Thursday 25th September, 2025, the Rector of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, Dr. Hashim Sabo Bello, represented by his Deputy Hajiya Alawiyatu Aliyu Musa officially flagged off the disbursement of funds for land compensation to rightful claimants whose lands were acquired for the development and expansion of the Polytechnic.

The event, which took place at the ASUP Secretariat in the Polytechnic premises, was attended by the Registrar Mallam Lawal Sambo, the Polytechnic Librarian Mal. Abdullahi Dewa, members of the Management Staff, the Land Compensation Committee chaired by the Bursar, Hussaini Ali Dangambu, as well as representatives of the affected community and other stakeholders.

In his address, the Rector appreciated the cooperation and understanding of the landowners, acknowledging their vital role in supporting the institution’s growth. He stated that the Polytechnic remains committed to transparency and fairness in handling the compensation process.

The Rector also commended the Land Compensation Committee for its dedication and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the compensation received.

The flag-off ceremony marks a significant milestone towards strengthening the relationship between the Polytechnic and its host community, while ensuring smooth progress of ongoing developmental projects.

*THE RECTOR ATTENDED TREE PLANTING PROGRAM ORGANIZED BY WOMEN IN SSANIP*

The Rector of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, Dr. Hashim Sabo Bello, today Tuesday 16 of September, 2025 attended a tree planting program organized by the women’s wing of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP), ATAPOLY Chapter.

The event, which took place at the Polytechnic premises, was aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, combating climate change, and beautifying the institution’s environment through afforestation initiatives.

In his address, the Rector commended the women of SSANIP for their foresight and commitment to environmental preservation. He emphasized the importance of tree planting in mitigating the effects of global warming and maintaining a healthy ecosystem.

The Chairperson of the women’s wing of SSANIP, Mrs. Hauwa A. Waziri, appreciated the Rector and members of management for their support and assured that the initiative would be sustained annually to contribute to the Polytechnic’s green and serene environment.

Highlights of the program included speeches, the symbolic planting of trees by the Rector, and other dignitaries, as well as a vote of thanks delivered by SSANIP Chairman Comrade Abdulrazak and a representative of SSANIP women.

The program was well-attended by management staff, SSANIP members, Dean of Schools and invited guests.
