INTERNATIONAL FRUIT DAY 2025

On Tuesday, lst July, 2025. We join the world for international Fruit Day event,
THEME : INCLUSIVE STYLES.

We highlighted the need to include fruits in our meals regularly.

We taught our pupils and students different kinds of fruits and their nutritional values.

Fruits and vegetables give vitamins and minerals to the body which helps to protect our organs, tissues, body and boost our immune system against and disease.

We are encouraged to plan our meals to eat 5-A Day plant based food, this will enable us achieve the INCLUSIVE STYLES.

We also advised to EAT RAINBOW 🌈, meaning eating fruits and vegetables that have different colors as their different pigments contribute differently in the nutritional value our body..

However, purple 🟣 💜 fruit and vegetables family is very rich in ANTHOCYANINS , there are natural plants pigments which can help in brain health, help to lower inflammation, fight cancer and heart disease.

Moreso, eating our fruit and vegetables fresh with less refrigerating is best. Always keep your fruits and vegetables in a basket for freshness and no loss of nutrients.

Do not eat fruit and vegetables that has turn brown as it contribute to the toxins and free radicals in the body.

One of the secret to achieve fruit inclusive styles is buying seasonal fruits as they will be easy to get and also it will be cost effective
