🎉 Good News to HND Graduates! Transform Your HND into a B.Sc Degree at NOUN 🎓
Did you know you can convert your Higher National Diploma (HND) into a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) through Direct Entry admission into 300-level?
Yes! You don’t need to start from 100 level again.
Here’s what you must know:
👉 1. Direct Entry to 300-Level
NOUN allows qualified HND holders to gain admission into 300-level of selected undergraduate programmes — meaning you do not have to start from 100 level again! This makes your degree journey shorter, faster, and cost-effective.
👉 2. Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, you need:
✅ A relevant HND certificate (in a field related to your intended B.Sc programme)
✅ A minimum of five (5) O’Level credits in subjects relevant to your course — including English Language and Mathematics
✅ A transcript from your HND-awarding institution
👉 3. What This Means for You
Instead of repeating years of study, you can enter directly into 300-level and complete your B.Sc with NOUN in a reasonable time — while studying flexibly using NOUN’s distance learning system.
👉 4. Why NOUN?
✨ Flexible study patterns (part-time + distance learning)
✨ Recognized and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
✨ Wide range of programmes — from Accounting, Business, Social Sciences to Computer Science and more

My Advice to Anyone Who Gains Admission Into National Open University (NOUN)
If you are newly admitted into NOUN, don't make the mistake of thinking it's an "easy school."
NOUN gives you flexibility, but with that flexibility comes responsibility.
Learn how to navigate your student portal early. It will save you from missing important information.
Take your TMAs seriously because every mark counts.
Don't wait until exams are around the corner before opening your course materials. Start reading from the beginning of the semester.
Most importantly, stay informed. Many students struggle not because they're not intelligent, but because they miss important updates and deadlines.
Success in NOUN is not about luck; it's about consistency, discipline, and proper planning.
I wish you all good luck.
