Optimist Academy for Film collaborates with German Film School for NOLLYWOOD WORKSHOP 2024; receives certificate of recognition.
Benin City, Nigeria – Optimist Academy for Film & Technical and Vocational Education has entered into a landmark collaboration with Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany for the NOLLYWOOD WORKSHOP 2024. This collaboration is aimed at fostering a cultural and educational exchange in film production, providing a platform for Nigerian students and alumni to gain international experience in the global film industry.
As part of this exciting collaboration, seven talented students from Optimist Academy for Film & TVE actively participated in a film production titled Fragments of Tomorrow, a poignant narrative addressing the challenges of Sickle Cell Anemia. The project allowed the students and alumni to showcase their specialized skills in key production areas, including the Sound Department, Camera Operation, Lighting Production, and Makeup and Costume Design. The completed film was first screened at the Goethe-Institut in Victoria Island, Lagos, where it was presented to an exclusive audience.
Additionally, during a special meeting in Benin City with , Head of Students at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, .osarumwense, the Founder of Optimist Academy for Film & TVE, received a certificate of recognition for the academy's significant contributions to the NOLLYWOOD WORKSHOP 2024. Each participant from the academy was also awarded a certificate of participation, honoring their commitment and contributions to the project.
, an industry mentor, was also specially acknowledged for his instrumental role in facilitating this successful international partnership.
Through such collaborations, Optimist Academy for Film & TVE continues to equip its students with invaluable hands-on experience, strengthening their portfolios and enhancing their readiness for diverse roles in the global multimedia industry.
