Back in the day, having thousands of page likes on Facebook felt like the ultimate flex. But here’s the twist: in 2025, a ‘like’ doesn’t mean what it used to.
If you want real growth on Facebook today, the number you should be paying attention to isn’t likes — it’s follows.”
1️⃣ What a Like Means in 2025
A page like simply shows that someone once expressed interest in your page.
However, they may not see your content consistently anymore.
Think of it as someone walking into your store, saying “Nice shop!” and then leaving without returning.
2️⃣ What a Follow Means in 2025
A follow is much more powerful.
When someone follows your page, they’re telling Facebook: “I want to keep seeing this content in my feed.”
Followers are the real audience who see your updates, engage, and can eventually become customers or community members.
3️⃣ Why the Shift Happened
Facebook has been pushing creators, brands, and businesses to build engaged communities rather than just vanity numbers.
In 2025, algorithms prioritize followers and engagement over likes.
That means your success depends less on how many people “liked” your page years ago, and more on how many actively follow you today.
4️⃣ What This Means for You
Stop chasing likes.
Start creating content that makes people want to hit follow.
Focus on value, consistency, and interaction — that’s how you grow in 2025.
In 2025, the difference is clear:
Likes = Old support
Follows = Active audience
So if you’re building a page today, make sure every post answers this question: “Why should someone follow me?”

3 things to post first when your page is brand new:
1️⃣ Introduction Post (Who You Are & What You Do)
This is your “hello” to the world.
Tell people what your page is about, who you help, and why they should follow you.
Add a clear profile photo and cover photo that matches your brand.
Example: “Welcome to [Page Name]! Here, I’ll be sharing tips on [your niche], behind-the-scenes content, and inspiration to help you [solve a problem].”
2️⃣ Value Post (Show You’re an Expert)
Share something useful, practical, or educational related to your niche.
Could be a tip, a tutorial, a checklist, or a myth-busting post.
This helps you immediately position yourself as a go-to resource.
Example: “Here are 5 mistakes to avoid when planning your first photoshoot…”
3️⃣ Engagement Post (Start Conversations)
Ask a simple question or post something relatable so people engage with your page right away.
Engagement is key to boosting visibility early on.
Example: “If you could choose only one, would you rather have free photoshoots for a year OR a free video coverage for your next big event? Comment below 👇”
In addition, after these 3 posts, stay consistent by mixing value + personal + promotional content.
Have you posted any of these on your Page before?

“I’ve seen too many people kill their new pages before they even start. Here’s why 👇”
1. Not Defining Your Niche 🎯
Creating a page about “everything” confuses Facebook’s algorithm and your audience. Stick to a clear niche so people instantly know what your page is about.
2. Using Low-Quality Profile & Cover Photos 📷
Your profile and cover photos are the first impression. Avoid blurry or irrelevant images—make them clean, branded, and professional.
3. Leaving the Bio/Description Empty 📝
So many new pages skip this! Your About section tells people why they should follow you. Not filling it in = lost credibility.
4. Inconsistent Posting ⏳
Posting once in a while won’t grow your page. Facebook rewards consistency—whether that’s daily, 3x a week, or weekly.
5. Copy-Pasting From Personal Account 🙅🏽♀️
What works on your personal profile doesn’t always work on a page. Pages need strategic, audience-focused content.
6. Ignoring Engagement 💬
If people comment and you don’t reply, they won’t bother next time. Engagement = Growth. Always respond.
7. Only Posting Ads or Promotions 🚫
If your page feels like a marketplace, people will unfollow. Balance with valuable, entertaining, or relatable content.
8. Not Using Reels 🎥
Reels are currently the fastest way to grow. Avoid focusing only on static posts. Mix formats.
9. Expecting Overnight Growth 🌱
Many people quit too early because they don’t see instant results. Growth takes patience, strategy, and consistency.
10. Ignoring Insights 📊
Facebook gives you free data on what works. Ignoring insights = shooting in the dark. Study them and adjust.
Which of these mistakes are you guilty of?

I noticed that a lot of people are desiring to start creating contents on Facebook either to earn money from it and/or use it to get more Customers for their Business but they lack proper guidance and so they go about it the wrong ways such as:
1. Joining Follow for follow pods or engagement pods.
2. Downloading and posting other people’s contents.
3. Posting random Contents.
4. Buying Followers.
5. Boosting their pages by paying other Creators with more number of followers or even using sponsored Ads.
While these methods might grow your pages, but they will not fetch you your ideal audience that will know you, like you and support you and this will frustrate your efforts in the long run.
That is why some pages have big numbers yet nobody knows them neither are they benefiting anything tangible from it because they are not building something solid (Personal Brand).
