The orientation programme for the Year One students of Paul University was successfully held at the Church of the Holy Spirit. The event marked an important beginning for the new students as they prepared for their academic journey and upcoming matriculation.

The programme was attended by key members of the university community, including the Chaplain, the Vice-Chancellor, members of staff, student executives, and other school officials. Their presence reflected the institution’s commitment to guiding and supporting the new students.

During the orientation, various speakers addressed the students on important aspects of university life. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of academic excellence, discipline, and dedication, while the Chaplain spoke on moral values and spiritual growth. Other staff members enlightened the students on the rules and regulations of the university, as well as expectations regarding conduct and responsibility.

Culture is the identity of a people, and today we proudly celebrate the beauty, dignity, and heritage of the Igbo tradition through the revered Nze na Nzo title.

The Nze na Nzo symbolizes honor, integrity, wisdom, and leadership within the community. It represents individuals who have distinguished themselves through character, service, and commitment to upholding the values and customs of our people.

As we celebrate this Cultural Day, we are reminded that tradition is not just about the past—it is a guide for the future. Through our language, attire, music, dance, and customs, we keep alive the rich heritage passed down by our ancestors.

May this celebration strengthen our unity, deepen our pride in our culture, and inspire the younger generation to preserve and promote the traditions that define us.
