TEN STUDY TECHNIQUES
1. Study from the testible core materials and outward. How do you know what is testible ( a) practice test (b) lecturer's/teacher's hints (c) thinking like an examiner.
2. Write a good concise note containing keywords and important information.
3.use Active recall method. For instance you can label your fan blade to recall what rotational motion is all about.
4. Proper revision : if you have 15 topics, review them in this order 1-5,6-10,10-15 then 1-10,10-15.
5. Study smart for you mid test/exam.
6,have a strong mindset through out your school year. Always be optimistic and not persmistic.
7.Outwork everyone in your class by walking into the library before and walking out after everyone. Remember if you want to be the best you aren't expected to be like the rest.
8.Get serious study partner that will complement and boost your study life.
9.Be consistent and never give up no matter what.
10. Control your anxieties and worries. There are two types of worriors. One is someone who doesn't study and is worried about not studying. The solution is to sit up and study even when you don't have the passion to do so. The second category is someone who worries despite having done all their studies. If you are in this position, you need to write down what you are worried about on a note book. Write down what you can control and what you cannot control. Example waking up early , extra study time. What you cannot control include grade you will make from a particular subject or course, you cannot also control the score. Work on what you can control and forget about what you cannot control.
