On the occasion of International Students Day.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ANAMBRA FEMALE STUDENTS (NAAFS) PAYS A COURTESY VISIT TO THE VICE-CHANCELLOR UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA NSUKKA.

The Vice-chancellor of University of Nigeria Nsukka, Professor Igwe Charles Arizechukwu ably represented by the Deputy Vice-chancellor Administration; Professor Patrick Okpoko, had on this day 28th October, 2021 received the Executives of the National Association of Anambra Female Students ably led by her President, Comr. Orji Onyinyechi Lilian.

Also in the team of the School officers who were present at the brief meeting are Deputy Vice-chancellor academics; Professor Johnson Urama, Deputy registrar VC's office; Mrs. Maria Nwufo, Chief librarian, Chief Media Aide to the Vice-chancellor amongst others.

In his Opening Remarks, the Vice Chancellor welcomed the representatives of the Association and extolled them for coming to identify with the first University in Nigeria.

The association executives which included her President, Secretary General; Comr. Onwudinjo Anastecia C, Director of Programs and Projects; Comr. Muojindu Noelann thanked the School Authority for the warm reception, while expressing their joy in identifying with the citadel of learning who has her pride of place as the best in the country.

Furthermore, they gave a brief profile of the organization, her vision, aims and objectives, structure and programs. They also requested the support and mentorship of the Vice Chancellor as a role model, mentor and Father.

In addition, on the top of the agenda of discuss was the ways to improve the lot of the girl child of Anambra descent while acknowledging her present achievements, especially with regards to education.

In their closing remarks, the school authority encouraged the young ladies for their lofty visions while expressing their readiness to partner and support the organization to actualize their aims, for the collective good of the Anambra Girl-Child and the society at large.

Other notable personalities present in the meeting to identify with the association are, NFSAN Financial Secretary & Coordinator Enugu State Comr. Francisca Edeh, SUG UNN Assistant Secretary, Lolo NUASS UNN, amongst other people.

It was a worthwhile visit which hopes to bear fruits of positive impacts for the Anambra Girl-Child in the nearest future.
