Dear Parents,

It's Children's Day Celebration today!

Have got a few words for us. It's an apt reminder and call to caution.

Don't put unnecessary pressure on your children.

My child must write before he clocks 2 years.

My child must read before he clocks for 3 years.

My child must enter college before he is 9 years old.

My child must leave secondary school before he is 15 years old.

My friend's daughter is 16 years old and she is already in university studying Medicine.

And so on.

We keep mounting pressure on them and making them go out of their way to please us.

One day, at 15, the child would say:

I am old enough to build a house for my parents.

I am old enough to leave my parent's house.

I am old enough to live alone.

I am old enough to have a boyfriend or a girlfriend.

I am old enough to complete the house my father started building.

I am old enough to have my own money.

The pressure continues!

And before you know it, they will start to engage in illicit behaviour.

They would want to do anything to get money at least that's what you wanted them to do earlier hence the reason for pushing them.

Allow your children to grow in their space.

Don't put unnecessary pressure on them.

They are children for God's sake, stop putting an adult responsibility workload load on them.

Guide them and let them understand the power of Time and that there is time for everything.

Whatever your child becomes in the future lies in your hand.

Don't push them too hard.

Children ought to grow and do their things in their space not pushing or forcing them.

No two children are the same.

Stop the comparison!

Let your child learn and grow in his/her space.

I hope this message meets you well.

Have a great day!

Happy Children's Day!

WHY DO SOME TYPE "MOTHER'S DAY", "MOTHERS' DAY," AND MOTHERING DAY?"

Did you spot the difference in the spelling of the two words? There is an apostrophe variation in the two words.

That was the question someone asked me a few minutes ago why the variation in spelling and besides if they meant different things as she saw some people type "Mother's Day" and others write " Mothers' Day" while some type "Mothering Day." So I think I should share it with you, you might find it useful.

The terms "Mother's Day" and "Mothers' Day" are often used interchangeably and refer to the same holiday.

However, there is a subtle difference in the way the two terms are used.

"Mother's Day" is singular possessive, which means it refers to a day for celebrating one's own mother.

It suggests that the day is focused on honouring and showing appreciation for one's own mother.

On the other hand, "Mothers' Day" is plural possessive, which means it refers to a day for celebrating all mothers.

It suggests that the day is more inclusive and can include not only one's own mother but also other mother figures in their lives, such as stepmothers, grandmothers, and so on.

In practice, however, the two terms are often used interchangeably, and the focus of the day remains the same, which is to celebrate and honour mothers and mother figures for their love and contributions to our lives.

So if you are wishing only your mother a happy celebration, write "Happy Mother's Day."

If you are celebrating all mothers including all women around you, write "Happy Mothers' Day." This is pluralized and celebrates all other mothers' figures in your life.

On the other hand, Mothering Day is a holiday that is celebrated in various countries around the world, particularly in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is also known as Mother's Day in some places.

In the UK, Mothering Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent, which falls in March or early April.

On this day, people traditionally give gifts and cards to their mothers and show their appreciation for all that their mothers do.

It is also a day for families to get together and spend time with one another.

If your mother is far away from you today, make sure you give her a call to appreciate her.

If she is already with the lord, may her soul continue to rest in peace. Amen.

To all the sisters, wives, and mothers here, Happy Mothers' Day🥰

I am rooting for you.
