15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it. 17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. 18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

*MESSAGE:*
One of the most important responsibilities of leaders is to make the people they lead happy by providing an enabling environment for peace and prosperity. A leader who listens to the yearnings and aspirations of his people and tries to provide solutions to their problems is usually loved, while any leader who fails to satisfy the common interest of the people, even for the best reasons, is generally condemned.

Therefore, leaders at every level of human endeavor have perfected the art of pleasing the people they lead in order to continually earn their approval and to keep enjoying the power, wealth and influence made available by their office.

*However, the Bible admonishes Christians in general and those in position of authority in particular to reject the temptation of becoming pleasers of men.*

1 Thessalonian 2:4 says:
“But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.”

We see from this scripture that God expects all Christians to view every opportunity to influence others as a divine responsibility that has a divine purpose.

*Therefore, we are to do all thing to the glory of God with the consciousness that we owe our allegiance to Him and not to any human being.*

For this reason, the Holy Spirit says in Psalm 75:6-7:
“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”

*Pleasing people involves making every effort to do whatever they want in order to win their approval, even when such actions are contrary to God’s commandments.*

Pleasing people requires eye service, insecurity, self-centeredness and ungodliness. *Men pleasers have an insatiable appetite for money and power, and they can mortgage the future of the people they lead to achieve their selfish ambitions.*

*Anyone who is obsessed with pleasing people will unconsciously begin to work against god’s purpose until he or she becomes an enemy of God*. Paul came to this conclusion in Galatians 1:10, saying:

“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? *for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ*.”

Arron, King Saul and Herod are examples of leaders who were committed to pleasing people in order to win their approval, without much consideration for the will and commandments of God (Exodus 32, 1 Samuel 15, Acts 12:20-22). Unfortunately, they all got punished for their evil actions.

*I pray that every tendency to be a people-pleasers will be completely removed from your life today in Jesus’ Name.*

God was determined to destroy S***m and Gomorah but with Abraham's intervention he was willing to spare it if there could be found 10 righteous men. They were NOT found and so S***m and Gomorah were destroyed. (Gen. 18:32; 19:28-29)

Nineveh was to be destroyed because of too much WICKEDNESS and unrighteousness but it took just one Prophet's preaching (who did not even perform a single miracle) to change their hearts, repent, become converted and were spared. (Jon 1:2; 3:2-10).

Now, what can we say of Nigeria? Given the number of powerfully anointed men of God in the country, and the number of churches everywhere, one would expect that righteousness would flourish everywhere. But, the reality on ground has earned the country two ignominious names, viz:
1. A Fantastically Corrupt Country and
2. The World Capital of Poverty

Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

There is so much that is wrong that makes Nigeria very far from being an EXALTED NATION. In fact, the general and common tag is that of REPROACH.

So, that leads me to the main WORRY of this post: WITH THE ABUNDANCE OF POWERFULLY ANOINTED MEN OF GOD LIKE

WHY IS NIGERIA NOT YET FILLED WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS DOWN TO THE POLITICAL LEADERSHIP?

Why is there so much evil and WICKEDNESS going on in this country?

Why is there so much corruption and bad Governance?

Is it that the spiritual authorities of these ministers cannot bring about a change?

Or are they enjoying so much comfort that they have come to be at ease in Zion? (Amos 6:1, 3-6)

Is their anoiting only for MIRACLES but incapable of filling Nigeria with righteous men and women, to cause righteousness to flourish and this nation become EXALTED?

With all the anointing and power, and claims to hear directly from God, why does there seem to be no message as it was for Nineveh?
Or ARE THEY AFRAID TO TELL TRUTH TO POWER and to the laity for fear of membership loss?

Or could it be that God has abandoned Nigeria?

WHAT ARE THEY PREACHING THAT IS NOT TRIGGERING A NATIONAL REPENTANCE AND CONVERSION?

Is their anointing incapable of raising God-fearing political leaders?

If God does answer their individual prayers to perform miracles, does God NOT answer their prayers for Nigeria to become a DELIGHTSOME land?

Or is it that they are not praying?

Could it be a case of lack of unity? Is it a case of one chasing a thousand each instead of 2 chasing ten thousands, 3 chasing a 100 thousand, and the host of them discomfitting the enemies that seems to have besieged Nigeria?

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF ALL THESE MEN OF GOD WERE TO COME TOGETHER IN A CAMP MEETING OR RETREAT TO HOLD A 21-DAYS FASTING AND PRAYERS FOR THIS COUNTRY TO BECOME A LAND OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, an exalted nation, a DELIGHTSOME LAND?

What would happen if they were to seclude themselves to a camp and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH TO NONSENSE IN NIGERIA?
Would God not answer?

Would any demon be able to withstand the power they would generate?

Would any enemy of Nigeria still be able to stand and continue to cause hardship and suffering for the citizens of this country?

MY HEART IS FULL AND FILLED WITH SO MANY WHAT IFs.
It's as if it wants to burst.

Please, help me to keep sharing this message until it gets to CAN, PFN, etc and all the Heads of Christian Ministries - GOs, GS, Pastors, Prophets, Reverends, Bishops, Evangelists, etc.

Nigeria MUST become a delightsome land.
Righteousness MUST arise in this country.

CHRISTIANS IN THE WORLD WHO

1.
Are NOT ministers - GOs or Pastors or Preachers or Prophets or Evangelists, etc.

AND
2.
Go to Church for Bible Study, Prayer Meeting and Sunday Service every week and regularly attend church programmes?

I bet you won't find any.

And something tells me that , otherwise, we would find a very long list of those very rich and wealthy Christians who meet the criteria of the challenge.

Or is it possible that the whole world would just be full of Christians who are non-followers or non-obsevance of those means of prosperity?

The Gospel that Jesus Christ commissioned for his followers is NOT a MATERIAL BUSINESS, and the idea of MATERIALISTIC RICHEST PASTORS, EVANGELISTS, PROPHETS WITHOUT a material craft to their wealth is alien to true Christianity.

BY WHAT CRAFT HAVE THESE RICHEST MEN OF GOD THIER WEALTH?

But there were also among the people, even as there shall be among you, who privately shall bring in ...... 2 And many shall follow ; by reason of whom . 3 And shall they : whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.

Hmmm!
Those who have turned the Christian Ministry to the CRAFT BY WHICH THEY HAVE THEIR WEALTH have become peddlers of the Gospel and made merchandise of believers an act of material business.

Check every doctrine that they have peddled to enriched themselves in scriptures: you would discover that it has been twisted from the TRUTH OF SCRIPTURES to feign words of merchandise.

AND
They would always look for people of like occupation to speak with one voice those things that prosper their DOCTRINES OF MERCHANDISE.

So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nothing; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships.

When you rise up to defend the CRAFT BY WHICH THEY HAVE THEIR WEALTH, be careful to understand why you are so full of wrath to defend them. Is it because you fear that the CRAFT IS IN DANGER OF BEING SET AT NOTHING and that the temple of the great goddess Diana (Mammon and Materialism) should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed?

Or do you do so in sincere defense of God and His TRUTHS?

What example do we have in scriptures of RICH ministers with the reputation of RICHEST MINISTERS?

This is the foundation that we have and it's what we find through Acts to Revelation.
