Another research output from DaintyMindz is now live.

"FreshLab-Tomato: A Longitudinal Shelf-Life Dataset" documents tomato deterioration over 10 days under ambient, refrigerated, and outdoor storage conditions.

It combines longitudinal images with temperature, humidity, and spoilage annotations, providing useful data for research in food-quality monitoring, computer vision, machine learning, and shelf-life estimation.

At DaintyMindz, we are not only building intelligent systems. We are creating the data foundations that make them possible.

Bias in an AI model can begin with the data used to train it.

Sampling choices, measurement processes, labeling decisions, and even which observations are retained can influence the patterns a model learns.

In Lab Notes #002, we look at five common sources of data bias: sampling, historical, measurement, label, and survivorship bias.

More data alone does not necessarily mean better data. What matters is whether the dataset is representative, appropriately collected, and suitable for the problem the model is expected to solve.

Understanding the data is part of understanding the model.
