Happy Birthday, my brother…My guardian…My unexpected angel in human skin — Hon. Ani Ezekiel Chidiebere (D LAW).

Today, my heart is louder than my voice, because how do I even begin to celebrate a man who has poured more strength into my life than my own bones? How do I describe a brother who became home, a mentor who became compass, a friend who became oxygen on the days life tried to choke me? You have been my safe place long before the world knew my name. You have believed in me even in seasons when I didn’t trust my own reflection. And the way you spoke to my late mother, the way you reassured her, the way you told her, “Don’t worry, I know where he is going,” still sits in the softest corner of my soul.

Those words…they became the prophecy I walk in. They became the confidence I wear. They became the quiet promise I hold on to whenever life tries to shake me. Ani, you didn’t just support me, you carried me. You didn’t just advise me, you shaped me. You didn’t just show up you stood guard like destiny’s own soldier around my life.

In the choir at Christ Ascension Church Isiogbo Nara, in Christian Academy Secondary School, you didn’t just teach, you watered futures, including mine. And I’m one of the harvests of your love. I admire you in ways my vocabulary can barely capture, your charisma, your mind sharp enough to slice through confusion, your grammar that dances like poetry and lands like revelation, your leadership that doesn’t shout yet moves mountains silently. You are an oxymoron of greatness strong and gentle, quiet and powerful, calm, yet carrying a fire that warms, inspires, and awakens destinies.
