As Nasarawa Local Government election draws close women in Nasarawa state have began massive advocacy on the need for them to occupy positions ranging from Chairmen and Councilors across the State.
Championing the advocacy campaign against poor leadership by men, Retired, Permanent Secretary in the service of Nasarawa state, Mrs.

Asibi Ogabo and human activist, Maryam Muhammad they see the need for women to occupy various elective positions for good governance.
They said time has come when women to stand to the occasion to change political narrative in subsequent elections.
“We are not going to continue to remain backward in political activities. Men have failed us since the return of the present democracy. They said.
“Now, it is our turn to occupy elective positions where we can show them the difference between us and them.
“It is no longer news that we are the home teachers who trained children because whatever position they hold not only in Nasarawa state, but Nigeria at large.
Mrs. Ogabo who is a founder Source of Hope Foundation told women that they should conquer all political position because of their lager population.
“I call on all of you to spread this gospel of women should occupy position, not man again for betterment of this nation.
On her part, Maryam Muhammad President and CEO Inner Glow Foundation who was optimistic that women will perform more better than what men are doing now.
“We want a situation that in next the election, we will have female Governor and seeing their husbands as first to also be attending governor’s husband’s meeting.
CAPITAL POST reports that no fewer than 200 females have already indicated interest to contest for Councilors seats during the forthcoming LGAs in Nasarawa State.
